It’s got some absolutely fantastic songs on it. Rescued is one that needs to be blasted very loud.

But you can 100% feel the pain in the lyrics. Some of them are incredibly sad. Rocking, but sad.

Enjoy it if you are a fan. Highly recommend.

Have listened through a few times now, and it truly delivers on that raw emotion as you alluded to.

Rescued is great, builds throughout much like Waiting on a War.

Under You feels like old school Foo, great track.

The Teacher is quite the journey.

A definite mix of melancholy and straight up good rock music.
I was looking at their website

and tried searching, did Dave perform the percussion for Taylor or did they bring in a new drummer?

Grohl did play the drums…saw this while reading an album review:

“ Grohl returns to his familiar duties behind the kit on the new LP, though Josh Freese was recently unveiled as the Foos’ full-time drummer, making his live concert debut with the group on May 21 for a performance that included new cut “Show Me How” and the title track.”

Really good. This is the best album they have put out in quite some time. And that’s not saying the last few are bad, but unlike those where there are some excellent tracks and forgettable ones in between, this one is strong from start to finish.
