At some point when a poster almost exclusively comes to a site to tell everyone how stupid they are and how much he hates the site, it's simply trolling. That activity was surely not missed this last season.

How about Rocky Thompson. Met Rocky in Tampa at the 2000 Super Bowl. We had a good time. Went out a couple times. He was let back in a couple years ago under another name but didn't last long.
Thought both of them added a lot but I didn't get into it with either.

I never had a problem with FMIC, but I know he rubbed some the wrong way. I try to be nice with everyone, including those I disagree with (even those who really piss me off and that can be challenging). FMIC has a different approach (ha ha)
No clue if he's banned or even posts anymore, but BMac-I believe that's his handle-is one miserable human being. And I'm sure if he's still around, he'll come & take a pot shot @ me like he has in the past. I have no clue what I did to offend him, but I've seen him be insufferable to others too.

yep, it's so odd that some folks could spend countless hours and weeks, months, investing in vitriol and analysis, some of it valid, directed at one player and have that raison d'etre go poof and disappear

As much as some posters have annoyed me, I've never wanted anyone banned. Ass the old saying goes, opinions are like assholes, we all have one.
That said, I don’t miss a certain poster or 2. Won't mention names, but I don’t miss the ones who shat on Jones a hundred times a day and stated with such arrogant certainty that all the legitimate shit going against Jones were "just excuses" and that he was going to suck forever. Not gonna lie, i enjoy the site better without them.
1. Trolls who don’t actually have an opinion and are just here to start shit because they are bored. And 2. People who have opinions and can’t just stick to that and instead get way too personal.
The former being banned makes complete sense and no one should have an issue with it. The later I’d never root for it happening but also don’t feel bad when it does.
Don't know if he was banned--he did change and returned under a different handle but was unmistakably the same obnoxious and usually wrong poster--his takes were so off and usually ill-informed. He would then claim, repeatedly, that if you went back and reviewed the videotape, you'd see that he had been proven right all along, and he told you so. Man, he was irritating, on Rangers' threads and I think on Mets' threads, from the random comments I saw.
FMiC: He could be, or is, often in attack mode when he did not agree--I had to laugh when he called out 'fucktards'. I didn't have run ins with him; though I guess I was a bit slow not to recognize when it was repeatedly pointed out that he was implicitly or explicitly defending management, DG.
I did not mind at all seeing Britt in VA go, the upper crust of Legacy BBI, he never, ever bothered to reply to my replies to his posts. Holier and better than thou. Not the only one of that ilk.
Speaking of legacy: Barilko had some football smarts, imo, and it seemed he had serial bannings...apparently some dark stuff going on his neck of the woods. Some posters were very close to him.
Jimmy Googs: this again may be my myopic take, but he was always, in low key sarcasm mode, imo, in his way pointing out the absurdities of lots of posters, whether you agree that posts were absurd or not--he was the anti-poster.

You were in a large group to “battle it out” with Joey back then (as was I). But Joey got married or something and mellowed out to be a regular guy. However, Joey was / is well informed, unlike other ban-worthy posters. He just didn’t suffer fools too well.

I am always bummed when I take a look at an old thread and see the number of interesting posters with a big red "account suspended."
