NFT: Verizon wireless and Fios

Anyone else notice how poor the service has been the last couple of week or is is it just me? My wireless service has been very poor. Calls dropping. Wi-Fi has been pure crap. YouTube on my tv use to work flawlessly now all it does is buffer. Called Verizon and they reset my router on their end but the service is still bad.

I don’t know about being too big, I think in todays environment, these companies are cutting costs and trying to save money anywhere they can. Clearly, it’s affecting the product.

with Verizon wireless connectivity, but I live near the Verizon headquarters and cell service is excellent.

As far as customer service, be glad you don't have Optimum internet. They are abysmal. I switched from FIOS to Optimum about a year ago, and was astonished how poor/non-existent the Optimum customer service is.

The routers required for the new boxes are definitely poorer than the original Fios router I had in my house. The whole home setup is buggy.

Haven't noticed anything on the actual mobile service.

So, I just tried running a speed check on my Verizon Fios service using my iPad. it tells me it failed because I'm not connected to the Internet. I check settings and I am connected and I'm on BBI. I think I'm going to cut the cord.

A few months ago, I switched from Verizon wireless to TMobile and have saved some nice money but TMobile gave us some freebies like Netflix and Apple for free as long as we keep TMobile. Service is about the same as Verizon.

that they are doing equipment upgrades in our area for the network which could affect coverage. Could be that.

A few times a week we have a WiFi connection to the router, but no internet. Every time I turn off WiFi on my laptop and turn it back on and it connects right away.

and it has been an awful decision. I hated Spectrum but at least it always worked. Fios stinks, their cable box stinks, the internet is shoddy. I don't know how it got all these good reviews.

Wireless if I had any connection issues they are minor.

Customer service is bad though.

Tbh, I've heard all that about Spectrum. Im in a local FB group and there are always complaints about Spectrum's internet. I have Verizon and I will agree the past few weeks have been dodgy but I've never had an issue until now. I'm no Verizon fanboy but thats been my experience. And yes their customer service is designed to frustrate you. It sucks.

They're about to deliver it in my town and I'm fired up to get Fios back. Had it for 10+ years in NY, but nothing but Optimum here (legacy Cablevision, yuck) at my house in NJ.

Literally 5 times out of 10 I turn on the box and I get a message "unsupporable signal" or something like that and it takes 4 to 5 minutes to get a signal. It is frustrating. I try to call someone and I can never get through. I am at my wit's end with Fios.
I used to have FIOS and it sucked.

Switched back to Optimum a few years back and haven't had a problem with Optimum since.
