Decent article (link below if I did it right) assessing 2022 performance and prospects for these three early first round edge defender picks. Bottom line, the writer likes Thibodeaux best of the three; close call between him and Hutchinson.
Big year coming for Thibs, think he can be a dangerous playmaker and a double digit sack guy. Excited to see year two for this guy.
Walker vs Hutchinson vs Thibodeaux - (
New Window )
Their development in year 2 is big!!!

Looking more like Sauce Gardner was the best player in the draft.
I really like Hutchinson and Walker, not taking anything away from those guys. But KT showed up really well and if you read or listen to how he talks about his play last year and what he intends to improve both physically and mentally you just know he's going to be a great player.
I think all three are going to be outstanding, but I agree that KT has potentially higher upside and is the most likely to maximize that. And KT knows it too. Go back and review his last few interviews to see what I mean. I'm really excited to watch his career.
I thought the article was fair. The most room for growth is with KT. Whether he gets it, is to be seen.
Walker I have no idea about

Wouldn't undersell Hutchinson, he had some major splash plays including three picks at DE - Giants were on the bad side of one of them. The length, athleticism and awareness to make some of those interceptions is awesome.

The Athletic isn't even that expensive - and you are missing some excellent content, and not just on the Giants.

Felt Thibs and Neal were 1st and 2nd best players in draft.

It generally takes trench guys longer to develop
IMO, the confidence in Neal this year is warranted but not obvious
The confidence in Thibs is obvious
2- If Ojulari can just stay on the field - he has shown to be a very productive pass rusher
3- A healthy Leo paired with the beast Dex - should give those 2 ERs plenty of opportunities to win their match-ups
4- A’Shawn and Nunes-Roches should give Leo and Dex the tests they need to dominate as well as greatly improve the run defense.
5- McKinney being back will allow Wink to run the plays/blitzes he prefers
6- add to McKinney - adoree and now Banks as reasons why Wink can run the D he wants
7- add Okereke to McKinney and Adoreee and Banks as reasons why Wink can unleash his creativity

I forget the details but there was discussion on BBI during last season to the effect that the particular move that KT relies on most, by NFL rule, essentially permits an OL to hold. Anyone remember more about this?
