I’m guessing X-rays or MRI was done days ago. Would they really not know yet? What does the radiologist have to read all the weekend warrior reports first? I have my MRI reports same day usually. Bad sign?
which means probably done yesterday. I’d agree no news yet plus out of lineup again tonight is concerning.
Thats what I read.
I've been concerned based on Judge's post-game comment that he wasn't sure if he'd end up on IL. If it's no big deal a player will say so - they may even say so if it is.
Toronto did this same thing some years ago with Roy Halladay. They sent him down to A Ball, completely broke down his mechanics and basically started from scratch. He returned a completely different pitcher. Probably hoping the same can be done with Manoah
RE: RE: Unrelated, but Alek Manoah (TOR) sent down.

Wouldn't be the opposite of Doc? Doc sucked went down and then got good, that's not Manoah's story.

Yup, he’s been a disaster this season. That’s a shame…
Sent down to the Florida complex league, the lowest level in the US. Roy Halladay had similar issues and they sent him to class A Dunedin to fix his mechanics. He came back and was Cy Young level for a decade.

He's fat. Have him drop 20 pounds and call him back up.
Since you mentioned it, the Dodgers are reinforcing the chain link fence and adding a strip of padding to the concrete portion where Judge injured his toe.

Doesn’t change the fact it’s nice to see that mouthy jerk Manoah get humbled for a while

Better late than never I guess but every piece of exposed concrete should be padded in every MLB park.
They said during the Yankee game another player did the same thing in another park and he broke his toe and is out 4-6 weeks maybe more.
with bruise and strain in a ligament on right big toe
Thankfully there’s no fracture or break in his toe. Could’ve been a 1-2 month IL stint.
.
He won't be back in two weeks, might be a month at least.
He has strained ligaments in his big toe, to go with the inflammation he currently has. That will subside, but still?
He is also a very big man as we know...
They must really despiss Florial if they are willing to get by
and the Yankees playing in either NYC or Boston for the next 3 weeks, I think mlb has to cancel all games for the foreseeable future, possibly even until our trip to Oakland on the 27th. Does that perhaps coincide with how long Judge is out? Well, that would just be a lucky break, but safety first, amirite?

a "sprain" is such a nebulous diagnosis for a toe ligament. We don't know whether it is top or bottom. If it's bottom like DJ's last year then it will be a month or more easy. However if its the top then it could be less time because you're not bearing weight on it as much. I will say this I have no idea which it is but a wear and tear turf toe tends to be lower whereas an acute injury like Judge suffered at least has the possibility of being upper.
Thats what I read.

Why don’t they trade Florial to the O’s and bring back Hicks for fuck’s sake?
