NFT: How's the air quality by you right now?

I'm in Clifton, and was just out in the yard with the dogs and as nearby as two houses down the haze was as thick as a sheer curtain, with a strong scent of charred wood. Even looking out the front windows now, I can't tell if it's about to pour outside, or if it's just the air - there's a washed-out yellowish tint to everything.

And I'm in Cleveland.

In north central pa. Pretty gnarly.

I'm in the Hudson Valley and my eyes were burning just fetching the garbage cans from up the driveway.

AQI is down to 173 from 196 about an hour ago.

Very hazy, strong smoke smell, like burnt my eyes earlier too.

Hazy with campfire smell.

We are in Mahwah too and wife said the same thing. I started smoking meats recently and she thought i lit the house on fire

Said that it is hazy and it smells like a house is on fire. Dogs hate it. Pretty wild to go through that.

I live near the water and it is noticeable but nothing debilitating.

of Baltimore.The county issued a code red, which means the air is unhealthy for everyone. We just had a brief sun shower, but it only lasted a few minutes. I doubt it was enough to wash much of the bad air away.

hazy and smells like everyone is cooking shitty brownies. But we just had our parents vs kids soccer game and had a blast with the threat of rain the entire time so it’s all good.

Outside air in. It brings in coolant encased in tubing that your house air blows over. You'll be fine.

A couple days ago the GSP was closed by me. I think it was exits 38-63.

It happened quite suddenly, too. At 6:30, it was barely hazy, if at all and by 8:30, the haze was quite dense and the BBQ smell was pretty intense.

And it's a nightmare outside. No one can breathe in this house so I have the air washers on full tilt.

What you are now experiencing has been the norm for the past few summers here in Colorado and for most of the west.

In the twin tiers and saw at least a dozen people taking pictures of the faint orange sun. Mountains are covered in haze and it's about 20 degrees cooler outside than it should be.

It shifted a little bit, south jersey is really bad right now but by this afternoon its going to shift back up

I lost my sense of smell to covid so I can't tell you if it smells smoky, but you can definitely see it.

I was outside without a mask for an hour or two today running errands. Just got back home and I now have a headache and I'm sneezing. The haze is so thick and the smell is so pungent. It's like breathing through a chimney.

Terrible smell. My car has a thin layer of soot. Even the dog doesn’t want to go outside. The sun is a bizarre bright red because of the “filter” from the smoke.

I don't typically have any respiratory issues. No asthma, nothing like it. But I woke up congested today, and even indoors at work, the need to consistently clear my throat.

It's also quite chilly today in the Binghamton area. Can definitely see a model of how the ice age worked.
