This is My favorite interpretation of Jesus on the tube by far.
For some who would like some details about what this show is about, here is something for you. The Bible claims Jesus to be both the Son of God and also born a Man, but what makes this show so unique is that it emphasis the “man” aspect of Jesus, which many have seemed to omit and which is easy to overlook. It even shows the 12 apostles in a more “human” perspective…having arguments, struggling with their own issues and faith as well. Truly amazing to consider even these disciples close to Jesus struggle in life just like we all do. My wife and I actually have gotten more out of the show the 2nd time viewing. Can’t wait to see what is in store the 3rd time….
I hear we are losing Philip for this coming season, but I’m glad no one else is leaving. Dallas Jenkins has planned this to be a 7 season series so I hope all the key people hang on for the long haul. If the guy who plays Jesus wants more money, I will be glad to donate some of my Social Security check to keep him around…he is that good.
Show for me what really hit home was in one of the early episodes when Jesus cut his hand because at tines you forget he was a man who had to deal with daily physical pain and discomfort. Can't wait for season 4
This sounds interesting. I'll have to check it out
