Remember how they hyped Oneil Cruz he is not in the same zip code as this guy …
legit 70+ potential on 4/5 tools … he is must watch tv , his signing bonus might end being the best $65k ever invested in mlb … by all accounts a charming likable kid … yes I know it’s been 2 games
Below is their 2018 class, the best of which is playing in the Cubs system. Vargas has dropped off their top 30 list.
Before you complain about my complaining, the Yanks barely have 2 players in the top 100 list right now. Even if you count Volpe and Peraza that's barely 4.
End rant.

Around the IF and DH, they have Elly, Steer, India, McLain, and CES when he is called up. Ton of young talent

I'm not sure it's "Luck". There is definitely some luck involved but from my vantage point, the Yankees don't seem as good at IFA as some other teams.
I am lucky enough to have both McLain and De La Cruz, though unfortunately I'm in a weekly lineup change league, and was not able to get DLC into my lineup. I'm a Yankees fan who rarely watches baseball, but I am tuning in on Uzzu to DLC's at bats. He's fun to watch, hopefully he keeps doing what he's doing.
That infield will really be something if Noelvi Marte starts cooking in the high minors.
Physcially yes - Straw could never run kike this guy he is more lean but hes only 21- he is 70 grade speed and plays on the dirt - if sticks at SS he will rack up WAR -He has a .3 WAR in 2 games ! ( do that math )
when he was a kid everyone assumed he would be a pitcher or play OF - he wasnt having it - he is every bit of 6/5 ( I think he is taller) and he is a switch hitter BTW - he will chase and the MILB 30% K rate is a risk but if that trends to 25% (it was a 27% in AAA) look out - he does walk 14% so a 2-1 ratio is just fine - so excited for Reds fans he could really be THE guy
