No other explanation. Over a decade of just shit OL play. It’s a joke
I don't get how other teams can run out 2nd and 3rd stringers and be competent, while Giants have thier starting unit - with guys they picked early in the draft -- and Jones can't even hit his back foot in his drop before he has to take off. Miami played w/o their LT today and had over 500 yards of offense.
Talent has improved but really missing key pieces. Still no pass rush, most of the ol sucks, no true #1 receiver. Though Jones isn’t entirely at fault, he once again also hasn’t done enough to overcome less than ideal play around him. He really struggles against good defenses and doesn’t see the whole field.
Bottom line is year after year it seems like we are always having the same discussions about deficiencies in the positions that win in this league.
That Waller is really making a difference in the offense!!
Come on. That first INT clearly wasn't on Jones. It was the 2nd one. That was a horrific decision. That should be clear. The ensuing drive led to a Dallas TD.
Absolutely. That second one was textbook Jones when he starts feeling a game getting away...which didn't happen much last season.
People on here saying turnoverS like the guy is handing them the ball
think Jones is rattled, which isn't surprising given that he's running for his life as soon as he touches the ball on every pass play. His OL is a sieve. He's desperate to make something happen as the QB and so is pressing.
This. Let him press, he might work something out that he can use in the future being that he’s saddled with this line.

Can’t argue with anything you wrote. It is spot-on.
If your OL stinks your toys cannot be used. I have never seen a worse OL in a half.
This. It doesn't matter how many times you change the coach or the quarterback or the receivers, if you have one of the worst offensive lines in the league, you are going to be a bad team.
He struggles against fast defenses. When the game gets fast, you see it with Jones. The OL has been bad, but it's not all that. He's made some very poor throws.
The OL has been horrid.
It has.
Doesn’t excuse a QB from awful decision making and turnovers. QBs can’t melt under adversity like Jones seems to do sometimes.
Jones doesn’t get absolved from this. He’s been terrible tonight too.
Are we really pinning the first INT on Jones? Barkley wasn't touched by God, he was touched by the top of a helmet.
Of course not. Don’t be so dense.
But that 2nd pick was the knife into the jugular of this team for the night. Jones followed it up next two series with what looked like panic run audibles. Kafka also gets blame. When your OL is terrible and QB rattled, have to have better playbook and audible options than designed runs a fast DL can eat up with ease.
He forgot what got him the big contract was playing a smart game manager role. He’s trying to make plays instead playing within his limits. Not to excuse the incredibly poor OL and what appears to be a major bust at RT.
They can’t always try to patch the holes with free agents. There are to many teams in this league that draft a Thibodeaux and Neal and get an immediate stud. They may develop into that but there are many teams in this league where that happens immediately.
Universally regarded as a top ten pick. No GM would have been criticized for taking him at 7.
Sometimes the entire league mis-evaluates a college prospect. It happens. But it’s still just one game into the new season and Evan Neal can still improve.

with the drop, although the pass was behind him.
And then Jones is sacked again.
Not a great pass...
He has played WR his whole life got to catch that ball..no excuses...
By that same fucking logic, Jones has played QB his whole life, he's got to get that ball to the front of the receiver.

I think it's really a play where the defense deserves credit for a better play.

I know there’s no way of knowing now but DJ’s head got slammed into the turf on that first run. He looks terrible.
Possible factor
Good point.

Company man..
"What do you think of your team's execution?"
"I'm in favor of it."
You simply cannot miss when you have the number 5 and 7 pick. Missing on one that high is bad enough, but if you miss on both...
I loved the Neal pick. I was wrong.

Was there no sign of this in college?
I loved the Neal pick. I was wrong.
So did I and so was I
lol
With zero pass protection is ridiculous.
As for that second INT, he was desperate, running for his life and trying to make something happen.
"Sir, does this mean that Anne Margaret is not coming?"
Well we have ZERO points so far.
Looked like a leg muscle strain maybe hammy woooohooo
I don't know about THE least...
What about the bad passes that were behind the receivers?
