If Barkley is the best RB in the league and wants to be paid like it, he has to hold onto that one. He literally had it. If you want a HUGE contract, you have to finish that play. He sucked ass all night, too.
I'm not interested in SB getting paid. I would have let him test the market without the tag. But that's a different topic not for now.
I contend nearly every RB in the league would have coughed that ball up based on where Diggs came from. Diggs was the corner, came off his man, and completely blindsided SB with his helmet on the ball.
Sorry, I just can't fault SB and think that's just a terrific play by the defense.
RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: That Barkley INT was embarrassing.
Because it was an easy catch. If he's such a good receiver like we always hear, that's an easy catch for him.
He caught it, turned, didn't see the defender, got crushed, and coughed up the ball.
Was it a good defensive play or not?

It has ZERO to do with a large contract.
He's a pro player. Once he secured it- he has to hold onto it. That's his responslbility of being a pro regardless of money. If he can't -- it's his fault. No excuses.

Fair enough, agree to disagree. But when a RB has the ball in his hands like he did, I can't give him a complete pass.
RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: That Barkley INT was embarrassing.
Once he secures the ball - he is a pro- he should never lose it. If he does, it's his fault too.
You have to remember that it's not just the Defnese that are pro players. Offeisnve player's have to act like pros and not turn the ball over - as an example.
Diggs came sagged off his corner, came in from SB's blindside, and put his helmet right on the ball. I was not surprised at all the ball came out. It was - again - a perfect play by the defense.
And guess what? That happens. Sometimes the other player is just better on that play.

Yeah, my point was more about him thinking he was worth more than $13 million a year, and then he does shit like we saw tonight.
Was recorded as an interception not a fumble, that means Barkley did not secure the catch by the rules. Maybe they will change it to a fumble, but right now it was a pass intercepted

Then you're saying the ball went through his hands? So that is okay?
So no ofensive player should catch a ball on a bang-bang play? How often do we crush WR's for not holding onto the ball when a defender is draped over them if it hits their hands?

when Dallas just played with our buttholes AGAIN. Every single motherfucker on the NY Giants, including the coaches and the ballboy just got ransacked by Jerry Jones and that shitty fucking star again. I couldn't give a fuck about one play in this game when every single fucking play was dogshit.
This was not just a loss, it was a national embarrasment

I agree. That might be the worst NFL performance I've ever seen by ANY team, not just the giants. It was comical, with the sacks, fumbles, etc. Unbelievable.
They looked really good on that opening drive. Until the bad snap and the TD return on the blocked FG. And then they fell apart. It’s like they came completely unnerved.

I get wanting to give Jones more weapons and some speed. On paper, we did that. However, the OL was not improved and the only real addition (which we are still evaluating) is the center we drafted.
If the OL does not hold up, the whole offense fails and we get turnovers.
Drafting a guy like Hyatt with great speed is pointless if the QB is already on his back by the time Hyatt is 10 yards down field.
Evan Neal has no feet and Bredeson is not much better. These guys are statues. They need some other type of agility training somewhere that has nothing to do with football.
