I agree but I think we aren’t ready to completely rely on a strictly drop back DJ yet. Not saying he can’t because he obviously can but his running gives us the best option to win at this moment in my opinion.

First half, Drop back 5-7 yards with 2 new OL and pray? What was Kaftka thinking

Second half, RPO more...deeper routes, ran the ball

Its not just him running as they had our number with the bootleg stuff (as did dallas). its rpo/barkley threat and then throw

Look, love his mobility and it a huge X factor. But DJ is simply a top level passer. Makes tight window throw after tight window throw. He’s got both but his passing skills are every bit as good as his legs.

I’m not disputing that. I agree with you…. But from a scheme perspective his legs give us the best option to win. If we strictly rely on pocket passing until we solve our Oline we’re asking to lose.

Jones is a great runner, straight ahead, doesn't really juke or fake just flies by back 7 who think maybe they had an angle//nope TD.

DJ was stopped at least 4 times by Dallas on such plays designed as QB runs..

Point is this, game planning by good defenses take this play out.

They can win some games if they pass block and go deep.

Jones rushed for more yards this week than any other QB. Our OL wasn't able to handle Dallas last week. The OL is starting to gel. The deep passes to Hyatt helped open things up. Admittedly the 1st half was hard to stomach. The tush push TD was reminiscent of Hurts. Why is no one complaining about Hurts rushing for 2 tds against Minny and not diminishing his passing efforts against a poor defenses when he didn't even pass for 200 yds. Does it really make more sense when a play brakes down to throw it away when you can rush for a first down instead? It's time to count our blessings and appreciate what we have. Joe Burrow is 0-2.
