From last night: Saquon Barkley’s X-ray negative. Some swelling but not believed to be fracture. Initial thinking according to source was “it’s an ordinary (sprain), rather than a high-ankle sprain.”
MRI this AM in Arizona to determine severity + potential time missed.
He had some great plays yesterday.
He also danced in the hole, and missed what look like good running lanes, or was late to them.
Yes, he had the nice TD on third down, and a good run at the end of the game. Will be interesting to see Sys review of his performance. I for one am not worried about him missing 2-3 games. Watch Breida on his only run - 5 yards was big there if you watch the FG from Gano.

Really a dumb statement. Did you not watch the second half of last season?

like another ball right off his hands going the other way that could have easily led to our QB getting hurt. I can just imagine the vitriol if the were Engram.

I don’t think it was a ‘dumb’ statement. Saquon is a good, not great player. He is a homerun threat anytime he has the ball - a top 3 back from that perspective. He DOES not always hit the hole hard and he DOES miss out on some easy yards at times. I also think his hands aren’t the best as a passcatcher. On balance a good to very good but not great player. They will miss him but he is not indispensable.

that's because he pushes himself hard when he's trying to make plays.
Its high risk/reward.
Not sure why people don't understand this when complaining like children about his injuries

Happend multiple times yesterday. Once on 2nd and 1 where he had the 1st if he just kept going but he tried to spin to the outside to break one and got stuffed when he gave the defender his back.
