Raanan with some addition info on Saquon Barkley

Eric from BBI : Admin : 9/18/2023 10:20 am
Jordan Raanan @JordanRaanan

From last night: Saquon Barkley’s X-ray negative. Some swelling but not believed to be fracture. Initial thinking according to source was “it’s an ordinary (sprain), rather than a high-ankle sprain.”

MRI this AM in Arizona to determine severity + potential time missed.
Frustrating for us and more from him

It seems every time he gets going he gets injured.
He had some great plays yesterday.
He also had some poor plays

like another ball right off his hands going the other way that could have easily led to our QB getting hurt. I can just imagine the vitriol if the were Engram.

He also danced in the hole, and missed what look like good running lanes, or was late to them.

Yes, he had the nice TD on third down, and a good run at the end of the game. Will be interesting to see Sys review of his performance. I for one am not worried about him missing 2-3 games. Watch Breida on his only run - 5 yards was big there if you watch the FG from Gano.

Really a dumb statement. Did you not watch the second half of last season?
I love the posts trying so hard to diminish his

value/production. He and Jones were awesome in the second half, correcting their issues in the first half.
He dances (or really pauses) when there is no hole
PatersonPlank : 9/18/2023 11:32 am : link
would you rather he run into the OL players back, or the guy of the DL? Any back would do the same, this is a retread negative put out by people. Give him a sliver and he its through it

I don’t think it was a ‘dumb’ statement. Saquon is a good, not great player. He is a homerun threat anytime he has the ball - a top 3 back from that perspective. He DOES not always hit the hole hard and he DOES miss out on some easy yards at times. I also think his hands aren’t the best as a passcatcher. On balance a good to very good but not great player. They will miss him but he is not indispensable.

that's because he pushes himself hard when he's trying to make plays.

Its high risk/reward.

Not sure why people don't understand this when complaining like children about his injuries

allowing his ankle to stress and swell and bend like that as his body was being twisted into 3 different twister like positions via 2-3 300 LB angry men falling on top of him. Injury prone loser.

Its more in reference to Saquan trying to spin a break a run off when a shoulder down gets the first.

Happend multiple times yesterday. Once on 2nd and 1 where he had the 1st if he just kept going but he tried to spin to the outside to break one and got stuffed when he gave the defender his back.
