Not sure of the source of this info in terms of accuracy:
Jordan Raanan @JordanRaanan
Bounce-back performance from the #Giants offensive line. Allowed only seven pressures.
The Pass Block Win Rates:
LT Josh Ezeudu 89.7% (21st)
LG Mark Glowinski 93.8% (18th)
C JM Schmitz 100% (T-1)
RG Marcus McKethan 89.7% (27th)
RT Evan Neal 93.1% (15th)
Massive improvement from the right side of the line. McKethan held up in his first real game action of career. Neal played well, sans the late penalties.
Glowinski also bounced back despite being benched and then coming in when Ben Bredeson suffered a concussion.
If one of the tackles goes down Ezeudu can still be the swing with Bredeson or Glow coming in at guard.
They had 6 sacks against Washington...so not bad. I think they were just completely gassed in the second half.
That said, I don't recall any "he has all freaking day" moments for Jones. As opposed to Dobbs who could could have picnic'd back there. I wonder what the Cards OL win stats were.

That is what I was thinking. Bredson/Glow as backups. Let the best men win.
If Neal has far more struggles than games like this the rest of the year, I'd be interested in trying AT-Neal-JMS-MM-Ezeudu in the offseason. But hopefully this is a sign of things to come for Neal, though the proof will be against some of the tougher DLs
They played well on the road in the NFL. I'll take it.
When is the last time we've had a mid to late round olineman play well in a game? McKethan might be first in a long time.

You're right and point is well taken about the giants rush.
However, as long as the Oline is giving DJ ample time and not literally ruining the gameplan (like vs dallas), DJ is good enough to make plays. "All freaking day" type blocking is great...but is the exception..not the rule. Unless your playing against the Giants D apparently.
Help “all game long”? Who was helping him all game long? Bellinger only played 28 snaps. I’m not saying you’re wrong but I don’t remember him getting nearly as much help as you’re suggesting. Maybe I’m wrong, who knows. Haven’t rewatched it but that still seems like a major stretch
Nick Gates was undrafted

I am not happy with Evan Neal. At all. They gave him help all game long, and when they didn't, he lost the battle as much as he won. At least that's how it looked to me. He was outplayed by the a 3rd rounder and a 5th rounder from the same draft, one who is coming off of an ACL tear.

Yeah I should have prefaced with "From what I saw", I clearly didn't watch every play. But I saw Bellinger helping him on more than a few plays. I am very down on Neal. I was expecting better play this year, and he does not look any better to my eyes. And he is a game wrecker for us. SF is going to eat him alive.

but someone that was actually drafted....someone that they actually targeted and drafted. I know the target UDFA's, but the actual draft is more important.
Agreed. If there were only 7 pressures, planned QB runs aside, why is Jones running for his life so often?

Just curious….Is the Arizona front 7 considered good, mediocre or poor?

They were completely gassed? You mean after the first half beatdown we gave them? I think the answer is more that we just started to play up to our potential on offense.
I agree, he looks way more natural to me at Tackle
If one of the tackles goes down Ezeudu can still be the swing with Bredeson or Glow coming in at guard.
wait, Ezeudu played well at LT yesterday but your dream lineup is putting him at LG.
This isn't a video game dude, just because he played well at LT doesnt mean it translates to LG.
I dont believe Neal is pushing 350. All you have to do is look at him and see he's really lean for an Offensive tackle. There is no belly or gut on him.
Agreed 100%. Textbook. OK as long as inside the frame which it was.
One of the worst in the league
My comment was meant to imply that reacting to the speed rushers on the edge at that size.... that's a big ask
Not very good on paper. I think we were also fortunate yesterday that Baker was out yesterday. He's a very good safety with a lot of experience. And the leader of that D.
Arizona's D was solid against WFT on opening day and stymied us for the first half yesterday. So, they were doing something right.
And whether they were gassed or not yesterday, our patchwork OL still had to execute. Which is commendable.
Good thing your opinion don’t mean jack shit

Well, it doesn't mean any less than yours.... lol
Yup, solid bounce back after a bumpy week one. Would be huge if we’ve hit on that pick
