I was impressed with that quick score in the early third, but when we let them run right down the field and make it 28-7 I thought it was going to turn into a blowout. We’ve seen that story enough times the last decade.
Still can’t believe they pulled that off.
I also didn't think our offense would put up 31 points in a half, but I had even less confidence in the defense at that point.
It was memorable and my 15 yr old son hasn't witnessed a lot of memorable Giants games (at least not in a good way).
I hoped they would do that but didn't think they had that in them. I could not for the life of me understand how they looked so bad for six quarters.

Agreed, I figured we would be losing like 35-14 after they scored on that drive. I had no confidence in the defense making a stop, and I figured the offense would go back to pressing too much.
The only glimmer of hope I felt was that Dobbs was the QB, so he's never been in these circumstances to run out a game, and Gannon is a first time HC in the NFL. But, yes, it still felt nearly over.
A quality starter very likely makes enough plays late to close out the W. If Murray is the QB in the second half, the game is over.
BTW, I think we had the ball something like 11 minutes alone in the 4th quarter. Which is an amazing differential.
And it's not like Dobbs or the Cards made a huge mistake to let the Giants back into it, like they did vs Washington last week. The Giants just kept coming, and the defense finally showed some fortitude.
Lol.
What kind of alcohol intake are we thinking for Saturday's Ohio State v ND?
😉

Same. I also thought the offense would be deflated after scoring to open and the defense giving up another score.
I'm setting up the grill, stoking the fire, heating up my baking stone, assembling my pizzas, and thinking "They're not this bad. What the fuck is going on?" I didn't turn the game off because I thought they could still come back — it's the Arizona Cardinals, after all, not the Eagles or Cowboys. The quick strike at the start of the 2nd half gave me hope. The Cardinals' answer didn't make me think we were screwed, but it was discouraging. But again, I didn't turn the game off. So I guess I was more optimistic.
I've seen a lot of crazy stuff in 50+ years of being a Giants fan, so I rarely give up on them. Though sometimes I can't bear to watch. Most of the 2nd half against Dallas was too painful to view.
I really thought the whole time, make it look respectable in terms of a loss just to build on something.
For the biggest comeback in my lifetime, I was as a cool as a cucumber as the entire thing transpired. Almost as if I was watching a college game I had no rooting interest in but watched because something extraordinary was about to happen!!
Instead, they opened up the O more, got to 14 and woke up the D.
