Hi guys. I have a huge old dead-ish Oak tree in my backyard in Teaneck that needs to come down. No tree company wants to touch it. The angles, driveways, powerlines, etc are all too weird for them.
Most recently, Downes rescinded their quote.
But I need to get rid of this tree. Any recommendations?
Maybe that then makes it a bit more palatable for a tree company to do the rest?
Just a thought. Good luck.
1. Find a dealer that sells equipment for tree removal. They are out there.
2. Tell them your looking for an experienced tree guy who is a skilled climber...they are usually plentiful and always looking for side work. Pay what is necessary don't be an ahole and argue what's needed to do the job.
For a difficult job they usually will bring along more than 1 helper even if it's just to clear or move the material.
Ask if he is insured and if the answer is no inform him he'll have to sign a waiver and assume any and all liabilities, that's why you pay the price.
So I went with that guy and he did it right and it was expensive. These guys know who will do that job.
