Look, Glowinski needs to play well on Thursday for me to believe. Brederson is versatile but that concussion looked nasty. You have to do your due diligence and be ready.
He was the team's best lineman when he was here and on the field. Yes I know the line was awful then but an argument could be made it's not vastly better now. He used to be able to play 4 of the line positions. I bet he could be a backup for RT and both Gs. Management was probably right to let somebody else pay him after the first contract. But we've had lots and lots of OL worse than Pugh in the years since and he no longer needs to be paid alot. And maybe he gets injured less as time player?
Pugh is still a pretty good IOL, we have injuries on the IOL, it makes total sense. This is a football decision, not an emotional one, so if it irks you, consult your emotional support pet, maybe hug a goat and you'll be ok soon.
All I care about is can he still play. He didnt live up to the draft status however hes not bad by any stretch of the imagination. As an in-season pickup I don't think the locker room lawyer stuff would be as much of an issue either.

In a league with a boat load of teams with absolute horrible line play, he is without a job. Why?
i remember checking out the cardinals message board a couple years ago. Their assessment of him wasn't good. Nice guy, good leader, needs to be replaced asap.
tore his ACL about a year ago and only started working out in August. I would pass, but my guess is that somebody will sign him before the end of the season.
keep calling him a "clubhouse lawyer." I'm not sure what that is, but it's just best IMO that we focus on developing our backup OL instead of signing him.
Pugh did play a season at RT. Only one other player has done that.

This is the correct take. Beggars can’t be choosers, if it offends you consider which OL you’re afraid of giving up or missing out on.

Choice. He wants to play on a contender, do you take any shitty job you can or do you look around for an opportunity you want? I'm not trying to be a dick, honestly, but he's the best of the OL out there, he can pick and choose at this point. Wouldn't you?
His AZ career -- Signed a five-year, $45 million contract in 2018. Started seven games at RT before suffering a knee injury in Week 10. Was placed on injured reserve.
In 2019, started all 16 games, 14 at LG, 2 at RT.
In Week 6 of the 2022 season, suffered a torn ACL and was placed on injured reserve on October 20, 2022.
He is out a job because teams would rather try young players on the IOL than pay veterans. Players like Pugh don’t take backup roles - they start or they are not on a roster. Teams are always going to try the younger guy
Go look at the backups on rosters at G and see how little game time they actually have
I have zero problem with him taking a workout. Baffling that people are bitching about it
Tiny arms PASS..how many teams draft players that 10 years later go on and make 120 NFL starts? If he is healthy you sign..the question here..is he healthy?
hard pass. Ezeudu and McKethan at LG and RG resepectively
signing Pugh, gives them some veteran experience.
They are very young at center, and the right side of the line.
If they do sign him, they can consider moving on from Glowinski in a few weeks.
I would normally be saying yes in out OL state but you say no on an OL I have to take notice. pass. I hate always injured players so it's not a stretch.

Locker room lawyer, can't stay healthy, a dick sammich.
Daboll plays the best players. They worked him out. If they liked his workout, they will sign him. If they think he's better than what they have starting, then they will start him. It won't matter one iota what any fans think about him. Daboll will do what's best for the team. He won't care about what Pugh did here or anywhere in the past. He will be judged and utilized for what he currently is able to provide and that's the way it should be.
Imagine he’d sign for the vet min.
Ha!
All he's gotta be is better than Glowinski.
In a league with a boat load of teams with absolute horrible line play, he is without a job. Why?
Nope, Boo Radley.
I'd take my helmet off and walk away.
Club house lawyer.
Hiring him would be a terrible decision.
I am one of the lone fans that actually liked him best as a RT.
He has experience as a lousy o lineman.
Pass

The guy they just brought up from the PS has 31.5 arms. Pugh's arms are 32 inches.

Is he still an Eagles fan?

But....
How any of you think you know better is fucking absurd. An the way you people act like you have been hurt personally by Pugh is pathetic.
I can't believe what this place has become these past 5 years.

Or is typical BBI having their feelings hurt because a few words were said and crying about it years later like Tiki?
Anyone have the latest on Dalton Reisner? Was mentioned as a Viking pickup

He did sign with the Vikings … think I read for $4M

Nothing personal, but this is an open book exam and you're getting a C- at the moment.
