Once Thomas and Bredeson comes back, who will play right guard?
We know Thomas will be the left tackle, Schmitz will still be the center, and Neal will be the right tackle (don't think the team will give up on him just yet). Does Bredeson still play on the left guard or right? If he plays left then who will play right guard? Will it be Josh Ezeudu or Mckethan? Do you think they bring someone outside like Justin Pugh to play the guard? I think we all know Glowinski is going to be a backup going forward with this season.
I know we brought Pugh in for a visit and he's getting older, but still playing well in his career.
Do you think it will be a different rotation?
Now who knows about Banks....Evan Neal went out and did not come back, Barks now with a High ankle sprain.
This team goes through a much above average injuries costing game starts for too long a period.
They are all signed for next season, should get time to gel going forward.
This. Especially the Ezeudu-Neal swap.
But whatever the 2023 OL looks like going forward, it's likely there will yet again be a major shake up in this position group in the offseason. Lemieux, Peart, Glowinski, and Bredeson will likely be gone. Whether Neal will be moved to guard is unknown, but it won't happen this season.
Thomas/Ezeudu/Schmitz/McKethan/Neal
This group is signed through the end of the 2025 season. Give them time to gel. O-Line is not just about individual talent. It’s about working together as a group.
Give Thomas.Ezeudu.JMS.Mckethan.Neal time to gel, and by year end, they'll know what needs tinkering.
I'd also consider that Bredeson will likely better for Neal's development at the moment.
Bredeson and McKethan platooning at RG for now?

Lemieux allowed 5 pressures, 4 hurries and 1 sack.

Agree. But the future could see Ezeudu and Neal switching positions.
If so, Thomas/Bredeson/JMS/Pugh/Neal would figure to be the alignment, and might just be….average?

With a gameplan of passing, no clue as to why they opted to start him. He isn't any improvement over Glowinski.
He looked awful. He got help on just about every passing play and even with a chipper his guy got to Jones within 2 seconds.
Granted, he was up against Bosa, but he didn't even put up a good fight.
I'm going to guess that it was one of those plays where the defensive end is supposed to bite on the play fake, Jones is going to bootleg to his right and either run or pass to Bellinger in the flat.
Bosa's assignment was to ignore the running back and run straight at Jones.
And there you have it.
You need perfection to pull that off
we aren't near perfection
I would love to see Neal develop as a tackle but I’m really starting to think he is just not fast enough with feet to get our wide. Ezeudu might not be as good as a blocker has Neal in some categories but he can get out there.
If Ezuedu gets out there and has Neal to help him on the inside might be better than the other way around.
Draft a RT in 2024 and then Ezuedu competes for staring guard or swing tackle.
But if the Giants are thinking about it, I would pull the trigger now because you got 10 days to practice.
