Here is a look at each defensive unit's blitz % compared to sack %.
The #BillsMafia are scary, with the lowest 'Blitz %' in the league, but the highest 'Sack %'
The #Giants blitz the most in the #NFL, but have the 2nd lowest 'Sack %'
And what are the #Bears doing?!

to end up with ximines playing meaningful snaps again is probably the rosters biggest failure right now.
if they get things heading in the right direction i think that's probably the trade deadline thing to keep an eye on. grabbing someone like ngakoue or houston from teams likely to be out of it like chicago and carolina for a day 3 pick with them eating salary would make a lot of sense. if the giants defense can get to the deadline in 1 piece.

That’s fair only up to a point Eric. Sure more pass rushers was a need, so was OL, TE, WR, LB, DL and CB.
for those of us who don't know what a lead is: It's when the offense is able to score points on the opposing defense thus resulting in having more points than the opponent. Funny thing about this is, playing with a lead helps the entire team, every unit, and even the coaches.
Not sure they went backwards.
It wasn't a very good defense last year, either.

Truly disturbing. How in the WORLD did this defense manage to go BACKWARDS from last season? It's crazy.

Well, that's a fair point. Does seem to me like our tackling is worse, and at least we had Thibs and Williams show up in a couple of games last year.
From my fan's eyes, all I see is a team blitzing on 3rd down in particular and getting our players out of position to make plays on a short yardage pass.
It seems like it is creating a vulnerability in the defense because the QB gets the ball out fast and our second level defenders are either out of position or covering too large of an area (NOTE: Also makes me wonder why we can't do this on offense to counter our poor o-line not giving DJ time to set up and throw).
I'm tired of seeing Kayvon in pass coverage and a safety blitzing. Send your pass rusher to rush the passer.
Maybe they beat the Eagles tonight and go to 3-0?
That's true, I'd be interested to see QB pressure rate added to that chart to make it much more relevant.
There is probably some adjustment in the measurement to account for the scheme/alignment, otherwise you'd likely also see all the 3-4 teams overindexing here, but that's not the case. In fact, I'm pretty sure the next four teams behind the Giants in blitz rate are all base 4-3 defenses.
