Caleb went on record that there is a chance he would return to USC perhaps to avoid Arizona and their dysfunctional leadership. With them losing yesterday coupled with what I believe to be a progressive situation in Houston ( solid coach)- that leaves Chicago ias a front runner. However, they appear as fucked up ( or more) leadership wise as Arizona. Wonder if that changes his mind to go to a flagship organization and be the savior, or wait it out another year and risk everything $$$ only to be revisited by the same teams in 2025.
Maybe but with college kids making money now it really isn't a big deal to go back to college.

the goalpost is just going to move to whatever teams looks most fucked up.

$2-4m vs $45m is a hell of a gamble to push your decision out a year and wind up in the same exact boat - with the Colts, Bears, Cardinals etc likely having the #1 pick.
I don’t think much has changed unless you are a fringe 1st rounder or later.
The organization is a cataclysm. No QB should want to go there until a major overhaul occurs. Ideally, that would include a new ownership. But since that's unlikely, they need at least new coaching across the board.
And this is rounding into an incredibly deep QB class. So, there are going to be a lot of options.
I imagine at least 12 QBs are getting drafted. Maybe half on day one.
But the Bears have been a mess for a while now and it looks like they need to clean house. A top pick almost always goes to a bad team; there's almost no way around that. But the Bears have been especially bad. If I were running the Jets, I'd be scheming a way to get to the top. It probably wouldn't entail a big move up. With Wilson, the Jets are probably headed for a top-5 pick anyway.
Caleb Williams has been compared favorably to Patrick Mahomes. Drake Maye isn’t far behind as a prospect. Both would be taken 10/10 over Fields.

If he’s trying to avoid poor management, why would he be ok with the Jets?
And that’s my point, the Jets should do everything they can to get Caleb because he isn’t likely to turn down $45m as the #1 overall pick, risking injury or being in the exact same boat in 2025.
100%. If you are as good as you say you are (Caleb) he should be itching to turn that franchise around, not bitching about it. The Bears can get better in a hurry.
Look, I did not like what Team Manning did to the Chargers. So, I wouldn't like it if Team Caleb pulled an Eli/Elway if he doesn't want Chicago/Zona.
But the Bears are so dysfunctional. At the very least, there would need to be a new coaching staff.
Maybe CW brings Lincoln with him... ;)
Don't worry about it. SoCal can't stop anybody on D.
Trust me, ND will be able to score. If you establish a running game, ND will win. That's how Utah rolled USC last year. Follow that blue print.
I'm guessing he has functioning eye sight, because that's about all you need to see Williams is on a different planet than Fields as a QB prospect
