I am really starting out terribly this season going 0-3 in my main league. My experiment with J.Fields and D.Jones isn't panning out too well, and I'm leaving so many points on the bench (could have been 2-1) that it's becoming a little frustrating.
Right now, I can't seem to get it right with my WRs. One week D.London is scoring 15 on my bench while R.Doubs is getting 5 in my starting line up; then next week, they reverse when I switch them out. And don't get me started on my mistaken faith in AJ.Dillon with A.Jones out.
With a quarter of the season over, I need to turn things around to sniff the playoffs, especially since in my league, the #5 and 6 seeds in the playoffs are total regular season points based no matter the W/L records.
Who are some key FAAb pick ups at WR position? J.Palmer and Q.Johnston since M.Williams is out? Who else?
Palmer or Johnston.
In my league Johnston has a better keeper draft status (he was drafted late - like 14th round and then dropped)
I think I am going to put in a bid on Johnston.
Bigger problem for me is deciding if its too soon to cut bait on AJ Dillon and Kahlil Herbert.
Josh Palmer is available as is Tank Dell of Houston. The way our league works is, after an available player's game starts they go on waivers until the following Thursday. Currently sitting at #2 waiver priority because I sat tight the first three weeks to see what I had. Putting in a claim at this point would not be the worst thing as there are some participants below me who never make waiver moves (the league has run for a number of years with the same participants). Ideally I would wait bye weeks to start looking at making a waiver move, but I am not sure it is worth holding out.

I run a .5PPR 12-team SuperFlex, and we decided to go with 4pts for TD passes to make the already too QB reliant league less QB reliant.
I'm sitting dead last in standings and points as my J.Fields experiment has gone poorly, and I've managed to leave so many points on my bench that my bench could have probably beaten my starting roster the last three weeks.
As far as WRs go, I also have D.London but also have R.Doubs, M.Brown, and D.Hopkins. None of them are consistent point scorers (hence me leaving tons of points on the bench). I'm shooting for J.Palmer to infuse some immediate points. We'll see if my 20 in FAAB is enough to pick him up.
It cost me too much to get Fields for me to drop him at this point, especially since my backup QB is K.Murray (who knows when he'll be back), and I need two QBs for my SuperFlex format. Once Murray returns, I may see who is better in combo with D.Jones (who I think will be much better after playing two of the best def in the league resulting in his poor performance).
I'm just waiting for Fields to play like he did last season rather than this very controlled manner.
Do not drop Dillion or Herbert unless you have a better option on your bench or in waivers. Instead trade one or both for a better piece.
It’s been challenging with not only injuries to players like Barkley, Waddle missing last week, etc. but also due to players just underperforming. Herbert seemed like a nice round 6-7 RB acquisition who I had pegged for at least 10-12 a game, but that whole offense has been a disaster. Rodgers going down has also diminished Garrett Wilson’s upside immensely.
Just in case Palmer goes ahead of my waiver positions, I did also try for Tutu Atwell and Courtland Sutton.
I do believe in Palmer because Herbert typically sprays the ball around and doesn't just look at one receiver all day like Cousins to Jefferson and Burrow to Chase.
Crazy. I had my best point total so far this year, and I still got whacked.
Luck can really mess you up.

Really? Check out Keenan Allen’s target share vs Jefferson’s this year.
team is pretty solid but needing 1 or 2 more players once byes start kicking in. i have a few startable players on my bench but need to find some value guys and specifically a strong starting RB to backfill zack moss in case taylor ends up putting him on the bench.
maybe its just bc it's a 14 team league but it seems like there's just nothing on waivers this year so far. i stupidly chose hyatt over tank dell last week and just missed on puka/kyren week 1. quenton johnston is out there this week but i cant really muster much enthusiasm there. i think hyatt or hodgins will eventually break out as top option for the nyg so im keeping an eye on them, but it's slim pickings.
In one of my leagues my week 1 my opponent had two players put up goose eggs (Julius Chestnut lol - don't ask), Okonkwo - both with flat 0's and Kadarius Toney and Eli Mitchell with 1's. 4 players 2 total points combined.
I did have some bad luck of my own in one league. Week 1 I had Gano as my kicker. I lost the week by less than one point. If he makes either FG he missed I would have won. In fact, making this even worse is I didn't draft a kicker. I added Gano Sunday week 1. If I picked literally any other kicker in the entire league I would have won that contest. Even Boswell who had 1 point.
But I think the injury is going to help Quentin Johnston more, his skillset more matches what Mike Williams does well.
If you can afford to play the long game, I'd prioritize QJ if he's out there. But Palmer is the target if you need help right now.
I'm struggling with how much to bid FAAB on Achane. Last week, we had a player in another league bid his entire $100 budget on Jacoby Ford.
I don't want to go there, but seeing as that's the precedent, if I am desperate for a RB, that may need to be the strategy to get him.
I think Tony Jones is a worthwhile add in deep leagues where available, even with Kamara coming back. Only if desperate. But he's a better between the tackles guy, although I'm a little worried about Taysom Hill poaching goal line TDs. However in one 12-team league, I'm so thin, my RB corps is Walker III, Matt Breida, Deuce Vaughn, and Rico Dowdle. That's a tough spot for my RB2, but I think if I can anything (like I did last week thanks to Breida's 8-yard score), I can be competitive with my good receivers and Kelce at TE, as long as Walker continues to stay healthy and ball out.
One of them I have Mostert and I played the Achane owner who had him on the bench, fortunately.
Both leagues he was on the bench.
I was going to complain as a Mostert owner, but hard to complain when my guy had 4 TD's too.
And in my other league, which of the following three would you drop in favor of Achane: Jahan Dotson, Gabe Davis, or Dalton Kincaid (my other TE is Kittle)?
