Giants scoring 14 ppg giving up 32
Hawks scoring 29 ppg giving up 29
Hawks giving up only 79 yards per game on the ground over 300 in the air.
Geno completing 78% of his passes.
Giant hope is to give DJ adequate protection to take advantage of Seahawk vulnerability to the pass.
My heart is with the giants but my wager with the hawks
week 4 - (
New Window )
i envisioned the offense struggling at points, but the defense has been horrendous.
Guess McAdoo wasn’t all wrong about Geno
Instead we have played arguably the 2 of the top 4 teams in football
The Rams with a healthy Stafford a a formidable team
Guess McAdoo wasn’t all wrong about Geno
He started Geno against a bad Raiders team (and really bad defense) and not only lost and turned it over more than once. He is doing good but he also has two Pro Bowlers to throw to.
The Giants pumped up their skill group all offseason and it looks a bit better, but look at what the Hawks have:
RB - Kenneth Walker and a big 240# hammer at #2 in Charbonnet
WR - Metcalf/Lockett/JSN
TE - Fant (who is putting it all together so far this year)/Parkinson (solid 6'7")/Dissley (good blocker)
-----
That's a big time NFL offense. Their OL is their weak point but they are loaded at the skill positions and presend a tough all-around challenge.
It will be interesting to see if this is the week they open up their offense a little with 13 personnel.
I would rather late hits on the QB vs PI.
Every hit matters.
Let slip the dogs of war WINK!!!
Let them at least lose like men if they are going to lose.
They might surprise you.
It is hard to be a bully backing up.
What's changed since then? Well, the defense has gone from poor to atrocious. The offense has been (except for a half), non functional.
What would lead anyone to believe that we can beat the Seahawks? and we are likely to get our doors blown off against both Miami and Buffalo.
That will make the record 1-5 and 4 blow out losses in 6 games. That would slot them in as the worst team in football.
The media will have a field day. I don't see this playing out any other way at this point.

Would you take Geno over Jones?

Or Mahomes... ;)
Seahawks bounced back with a big win in Detroit, then had a fight to get a W over a not very good Panthers team, with the home crowd giving them the advantage, causing eight false starts by Carolina.
Not easy to figure, but that Week 1 result sticks. Any team that can lose that badly is a team NYG can beat.
But I think if AT is a go we stand a chance on Monday Night,if not,say good night Gracie

He was only going to play Smith for one game, on the road against the Raiders. Then Webb was going to play beginning the next game because it was a home game. They wanted to see whether the rookie had a future.

If AT is healthy, that's more significant than Barkley's availability.
The path to victory against Seattle is through the friendly skies. There are a lot a plays available against their D.
And let's be honest, Geno is going to be feeling pressure, too. It's not like he's spent any time in the prime time slot. I think he's just as much of a wild card as Jones.

13 personnel is a 3 TE set, my man. I think you mean 11 personnel. The first number refers to the number of "RBs" in the backfield oand the 2nd number refers to the number of TEs.
WRs are left out, but can always be calculated by subtracting the sum of the RBs, TEs, OL, and QB from 11. So in 13 personnel, for example, there would be just one WR.
That’s way too big a swing to be just noise. Metcalf is now practicing and the Seahawks injury list was much shorter Friday. (Love has a hamstring issue, btw.) The betting line may have shifted in favor of NYG because of a long list of Seattle questionables and, now that Seattle will be playing Monday closer to full strength, the betting line has gone back to favoring them, viewing them as a better team.

Old money coming in on the NY team....
Also AT being likely out is another possible explanation.
Can't it be both an explanation and a description????
I think we just got our answer...
AT is out
