As our 2023 season continues its trainwreck-like demise, I will likely spend a lot more time on Sundays with my wife and kids. I'm hoping to finish a sports/gaming theater room I've been building above my garage. But I wish I had more hobbies.
For those of you who will be dialing back the Giants late in the season, what are you going to do with your extra time?
Numb to everything and everyone.
I'll continue that way through the remainder of the season. If a game is reasonably close I'll stick with it, but I no longer feel obligated to watch just because it's the Giants on TV. It's the first time I've ever felt that way as a fan and it saddens me, honestly.
I am definitely not watching the games on Xmas or NYE. I'd rather spend the time with family and friends, I'm not ruining my holidays watching the Giants get stomped. That's especially true for the Eagles game. No way I'll watch a second of that, I'll just read about the carnage on BBI the day after.
Then I count which tree dropped the most leaves during that week. It’s less frustrating than watching the Giants. I’ve watched since Charlie Conerly was QB.
So I can tell you this -maples drop more during late October through mid November.
So if you’re looking for something to do during the Eagles games hit me up- I have extra rakes.
Dabs, I have a super small rake for you so I know you’ll be occupied through season end.
Pssst, we can bury that coach of the year trophy in the pile of leaves… no one will ever know you won that award😉.
At the end of the regular season it is 6 weeks to pitchers and catchers!
And the start of another demoralizing season for NY sports fans in a different sport.....
Watched the second half of the 1pm Brown/Ravens game which was very good. Then put the Giant game on until they failed on that 4th/goal run which was essentially the end of the game. And then switched over to Lions/Chargers which was a great game.
But seriously, the one upside about these loser years is if the Giants play at 1, I can miss the game completely by sleeping in. I never thought I'd see the day when I'd blatantly miss Giants games. I could see if they were competitive in their games and bad for a short stretch, it'd be fine.
I remember thinking 2013 was a one time thing and a fluke to start a year 0-6 and didn't think it was anything to worry about. Boy was I wrong. Holy fuck was I wrong.
If you were to ask me about any Giants game during the Coughlin years, I could tell you every single detail. The games from the Shurmur/Judge/Daboll days I couldn't help you out.
Oh yeah, the Rangers. Gotham's white knight. Lol.
Oh yeah. Whatever the girlfriend says goes. She is absolutely crazy about me (duh) but man she gets so fucking intense! Let's hope she doesn't kill me anytime soon.
Lol!! I went to one of those Glennon games. Sat behind the Giants bench and trashed Judge and everyone else the entire time.
I used to give a shit maybe they could spoil Philly's home field or something, yeah right. These jokers aren't even capable of losing to them by only 40 points. Don't care if the Eagles win the Super Bowl. Who the fuck cares anymore
