Couldn't they re-sign him now? I'm fuzzy on the exact rules but since he went on season ending IR they couldn't just reactivate him. But now he's technically a free agent. They could give him a whole new contract and he could somehow play again. Not sure if that's right but I could have sworn something like this happened in recent years. They were forced to move Tyree Jackson up for the game the TE depth chart is so ugly so the timing here is interesting.
I think waived off IR is the same as waived from active roster except if not claimed he either next agrees to an injury settlement or the team is responsible for his rehab till he's medically cleared then they're off the hook.
I'm not 100% sure on that.
I don't know if the releasing team is prohibited from re-signing him in-season if he's medically cleared after the waiver period.

I think they have to wait awhile . Maybe 3 weeks . I’d rather take a look at Jackson , Myarick’s ceiling is lower than a doll house roof .
