Schoen and Belichick? Not crazy about the idea but I wouldn't burn my Giants gear over it. I think BB is his own worst enemy in some ways. He is loyal to his guys but they've gone off and failed as head coaches, and the Pats have been declining as he keeps bringing them back.
The Bills may bite if Belichick gets released. If Bill gets released, he will get plenty of opportunities to coach again, despite his age. I could see Dallas making a change if they lose again in the playoffs...Jerry Jones loves new toys, and he's desperate for another Super Bowl visit. Washington is another possibility.
that if you're riding an unbroken streak of replacing the HC every two years and you have a chance to hire a 72-year-old guy who's planning to retire the moment he breaks Shula's coaching record, then you have to do it.

I hope people appreciate the brilliance of this post.
No. He has lost his fastball and he would want full control. His nepotism and sticking with ,"his guys" to save a buck have made the Patriots the disaster they have become.
who lucked into a GOAT QB, (Brady was the very definition of a game manager in that first SB run), but even the best HC’s have the game pass them by. Vince Lombardi was one of the few that didn’t, but that was almost certainly due to his tragic early death.
So no, I’d let another team sign Bill or let him walk out into retirement. Put him in the HOF in his first year, he deserves it, but I don’t want him as HC at this point.
This was a legitimate possibility in 2006...which was 17 years ago
In a slightly different scenario in '06, Tiki doesn't go off on Saturday night in Washington, TC gets fired. Had that happened, the door would've been wide open for BB and Pioli too.
Now, they both made it clear at the time that they weren't interested. But if they were, that was the time. Now the whole idea is just silly.
a.) BBI should only discuss topics that interest you
b.) You lack the self control to ignore threads that don't interest you
c.) You want us to guess the final number of Bill Belichick threads
d.) All of the above

There was a time he won with Cassell and then went 3-1 when Brady was suspended for deflategate.
Belichick over the years has just drafted terribly. He also keeps bringing back fired coaches that are being paid by other teams to coach. Having Judge and Patricia "consult the offense last year was a joke and probably a way for Bill to pocket some extra money for himself.

I think BB has bought into his own hype, that he became a great coach by thinking outside the box (which is true), but hiring Joe Judge and a former DC to run your offense takes that to another level. I don’t doubt that he could get back to the level he once was, but I wouldn’t want to take that chance on a 70-yr old.

He is done. Probably wants to pass Shula and then sail off into the sunset
The problem is you would have to change everything for him
The front office, the entire staff, defensive system, McDaniels would likely be Off Coordinator.....with no guarantee that they can recreate what they had in NE for so long.
That's too much disruption for me.
Let's let Schoen and Daboll have the next 2 years to turn this thing around.
You would have to take his kids on as well. 5 years ago I would have still taken him. With all the current baggage and the age... hard pass
Fair enough, I still think you do it. That Pats defense is still very good, Mac Jones is just that bad. If he had a league average QB, team would be above 500. He is just brutal to watch lol. He makes Zac Wilson look like Dan Marino.

Mac Jones has regressed for sure. I live in New England so I listen to talk radio in the car. It literally sounds like they are talking about us sometimes.
More because he would want too much control, first of all., Second, at his age and resume, I don't think he's the right guy for a team that is still building something. If we had a more polished roster, ready to make the jump to serious contender, then absolutely. But, for a team that will simply be trying to make the playoffs and build a future, no way.
The only good news is that BB will be motivated to win games
I think Belichick would be a great fit in Buffalo.
Folks shouldn't dismiss a potential worry this is why Kraft won't fire Belichick. Despite the struggle and floundering on coaching/QB last 3 yrs, I can see scenario and worries he'd run over to Jets or to Bills, a la Counsell style in MLB and I do suspect.
There are reports that the Flores situation has caused the BB- Giants relationship to be somewhat fractured…. Who knows
If Orlafsky knows something or not I wouldn’t speculate.
I think the best situation for Bill is with the Chargers.
Lots of talent and a dogshit coaching staff.

That type of scenario (Buff or LAC) would be a much better situation for BB to step into, not the mess that is the NYG.
went on McAfee and basically said that Bill is gone and his landing spot is already determined.
It's definitely a conversation to have, as unlikely him coming here, may be
If Orlafsky knows something or not I wouldn’t speculate.

If Bill leaves the Patriots, does he reunite with Josh McDaniels?
