Let me preface this by saying I don’t think I can ever consciously root against the Giants, but with the situation the team is in, I certainly don’t grieve over any losses this year since the Jets game. I feel certain the Giants will lose out organically (i.e. even if TT comes back and starts and other missing starters return etc). It’s even imaginable to me that Belichick will try to subtly hand that game to the Giants and these Giants would fuck that up.
So, say the Giants do actually end up with the No. 1 overall pick. Could you see them pulling off a trade with whoever is sitting at No. 2 - presumably Chicago via Carolina or whoever- for that pick?
I’m thinking the Giants offer both their second round picks, a later round pick and next year’s first rounder. Is that enticing enough for the team picking behind them? Anyone think that’s at all realistic? If not, what do you think it would take and, is the risk versus reward even worth it?
I’m guessing many here share my fantasy and the Giants using the overall No. 1 on their top QB prospect and the No. 2 overall on Marvin. Could this happen, or am I living in fantasy land?
If you want Harrison they will need to draft him with their first pick and then trade back up later in the first to get a second tier QB they believe in.
You aren't even offering a 2023 first. My guess is you'd have to offer both 2nd round picks this year, 2024 first, 2025 first, 2026 first and Wan'Dale Robinson. That probably still isn't enough.
Trading away picks is a dangerous game in our position, we need to plug so many holes. Sure, one maybe, for a quarterback, but several? Not a good idea.

You think a mid to late 2nd and a later pick this year, and next year's first is going to come close to what is needed to trade up 30 spots from the top of the second round to No. 2 overall. If they had the first and second picks (a QB and Harrison), and can get thru next year with minimal injuries, next year's pick could be in the 15 to 20 range. No team would take that deal (unless, of course, if Philly was offering it). The odds are better they can get Mahomes for just their own second rounder. :)
happen. Since you need a franchise QB to win a SB according to some there could be circumstances that might derail our chances.
That would make more sense than moving up to #1 and #2 imo
If the Giants have 1st, 33rd and 58th pick then I expect them to go QB, OL, and DL. This team has so many holes that picking a WR in top 3 would be a luxury pick Giants cannot afford during rebuilding year.

I'll have what he's having.
The Texans gave up the 12th and 33rd picks in 2023, and their 1st and 3rd round picks in 2024 to move up 9 spots. The OP wants to trade 2 second rounders, a 2025 first and another midround pick in 2023 to move up 31 or 32 spots to number 2 or 3. Not even in the same universe.
