I think that's the one most reasonable win for either team. Pats could win vs. Jets without Rogers. We could beat LA if without Stafford if TT comes back healthy...but that's about it.
So the Caleb Williams decision is made for us. Granted I don't know shit but I just have a feeling he'll never work out here. Is that crazy?
I feel exactly the same way. I don't think we're cursed or anything - I'm just less convinced in him than I am the other candidates. As always, I think people are being suckered by the "Fun" factor - they figure with Caleb, the games will at least be interesting.
Looking at? Nothing changed. The Giants have three potential wins left and they are all at home, though the Rams game is likely an L with Stafford back. And don't ignore the game at Washington. The Giants seem to match up well with them.
Carolina does not look to have any decent chances for a win, and they would need two to fall behind a 2 win Giants team. A tie or win against Chicago would have moved the needle on NY getting no. 1. But nothing changed over the weekend.
Well, at least we're winning something for a change. & I can't wait to surround Jones with Harrison Jr., as we must give DJ more time. I figure by year 14 we'll know if he's the answer.

Stafford is returning within the next week or two. They are hoping this Sunday. And devito will be playing the Pats lol

is the consensus #1 pick, while Drake Maye is the consensus #2 pick.
Given that, it's odd to read so many negative comments about Caleb from BBI'ers who have a "feeling" that he won't work out... yet almost no one has expressed the same reservations about Drake Maye.

Np, it's a perfect storm this year of injuries and various shortcomings. I have a good feeling about it for the long term tho. This ship is about to turn around!
I fear Caleb might be a huge bust. Just a feeling I can't shake. & I think he's a tremendous talent...also, some of his recent vibes like ownership stake-true or not-turns me off.
Will medically , uncleared to play ( much like Jones), if we keep losing. We suck but our FO aren’t exact morons. We are in play for a reboot at QB in the draft.
So the Caleb Williams decision is made for us. Granted I don't know shit but I just have a feeling he'll never work out here. Is that crazy?
Not crazy. High-risk, high-reward pick. He may not be ready for New York.
They don't need that decision to be mandated by position. I have faith they will nail this pick. If they get 1st pick like someone more than Caleb a team guaranteeing they take Caleb Could trade a massive haul from pick 2 or 3 to 1st n we still get Drake or Daniels plus a treasure trove of picks n a good player maybe

LOL. So whether it's true or NOT true that Caleb wants ownership of a team, it still turns you off either way. How does that make any sense?
Regardless, rest assured that when Rodgers (supposedly) requested an ownership stake in the Jets when negotiating his contract, the NFL stepped in and said that they wouldn't allow it. So it doesn't matter if that's what Caleb is seeking.
Fair point, but it speaks to a larger issue I have with Caleb. I didn't like him painting 'Fuck ND' on his fingernails last November or how he handled his presser post the ND game this October where he came off-IMO-as a complete ass in a game he sucked.
I just don't like the vibes I get about him. And I acknowledge he's an incredible talent. But we've seen incredible talents not pan out.

I do question his mental fortitude and height. The ND stuff seems like ND fan bias tho let's be honest lol

THE Giants matched up with Washington but not with Devito at QB. Thats the reason the Giants are projected for #1 on ESPN
The Athletic also projects the Giants to have the first pick
will never succeed in NE or NY. Doesn't have the makeup to handle adversity and the merciless media and fan base. I don't know enough about him to have an opinion, but it is a concern.

Allow me, Jim...I have reservations about both. I That said, I trust Schoen will make a good decision. And I don't worry about Caleb being in the conversation. It's possible that if we are at #2, the team drafting first could take Schoen's guy at #1, even if that guy's name isn't Caleb Williams. For this reason, while I won't be clutching pearls if the Giants draft #2 or #3 even, I'd prefer Schoen to have that first pick and hold all the cards.
There is no rule saying Schoen has to draft Caleb Williams at #1 overall. But if that's his guy, then so be it.
I wouldn't mind Schoen taking Daniels and then trading back up into the first round to get his primary receiver in Malik Nabers, who is going to be an absolute stud.
There are other pretty special WRs in this class not named Harrison.

Howell is playing good ball and the Giants are really injured. If it's Darnay Holmes getting the slot again then McLaurin is going to eat out lunch.

Not crazy, but I don't think the situation is as bad as it seems for a rookie QB. You have a great LT, good young C, and Daboll has shown that he can develop QB's and put them in a position to succeed. Plus Saquon will likely be back, which takes alot of focus away from that young QB. If they can sure up the OL in FA with a couple of steady vets, and pair that rookie qb with a rookie WR in R2/3 (think Burrow/Higgins or Stroud/Dell) + Hyatt/Wandale - it's a decent situation on paper.

rams and saints not very good

Devito vs wft and the patriots...cmon
4 week ir I believe puts him eligible after pats game as he was placed on ir after Jets game.
Or after the bye actually.

I like JD 1st, Caleb 2nd, Drake 3rd
