The highlights of the coming week:
Today was fried chicken day. I did boneless, skinless thighs, dredged in egg/buttermilk and then cornstarch/flour and deep fried. Served on a bun (her) and keto bread (me), with a gochujang mayo, lettuce and tomato. I added some homemade kimchi to mine. With sweet potato salad.
Friday is essentially a gyro- pork tenderloin, sous vide, then seared with a spice rub. Served on flatbread with tomato/onion salad and tzatziki.
Saturday I have guests and I'm taking 2 dishes from a recent Milk Street show featuring miso- NY strips pan seared in miso butter and kernel corn with miso. Making a crustless Basque cheesecake for dessert. Going out on a limb for an app, something I saw from Chefpanel on Instagram. It's egg yolks coated with panko, frozen and then deep fried. Served with sauteed mushroom slices and a parmesan cream sauce. Foolishly, these are all new recipes for me.
Sunday, I was able to pick up 3.5oz lobster tails for $4 each, and i'm gonna broil them with asparagus and a baked potato.
Tuesday is a favorite, rack of lamb smeared with mustard/mayo and coated with panko. With cauli mashed potatoes.
Then I turn the kitchen over to Mrs. in UT for Thanksgiving. All of you have a great holiday
I've never even heard of that one. You'll have to follow-up with how it comes out. All sounds great.
Mid 70s Saturday by me. Doing a low country boil (shrimp, andouille sausage, potatoes, corn on the cob) with plenty of coleslaw and cornbread, while watching Clemson v UNC with some neighbors. Good chance to watch more Maye.

Mrs. in UT makes a great NY cheesecake. We don't remember if the recipe was from Junior's. She actually gets a little pissed when I try a new recipe. I've done a couple, but nothing came out as good as hers. This one is from Milk Street and I was intrigued because I'm low carb and there's no crust on it, so I thought I'd give it a try. I'll report back.
Linguine with clams is always a great meal. Enjoy. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving. The kids coming over?
I have a recipe for it topped with a sun-dried tomato tapenade type mix then wrapped in prosciutto . I’m going to give that a go tomorrow night. Need to see if it’s “guest-worthy”!
Tomorrow night, who knows. We'll probably go out. The main thing on my mind right now is all the food shopping that needs to be done for Thanksgiving weekend...

so eating there. Going light leading into Thanksgiving. Linguine with clams and a salad tonight, Mrs. In Ct made a chicken soup last week and froze it, so that will be tomorrow night with a salad.

hey, Chuck. I made fish with a green olive tapenade last week, the sun-dried tomatoes should be terrific.
that's a sage decision

I let Mrs. in UT shop for most of her own things for Thanksgiving. I don't want to risk screwing up and not getting something exactly right.:)

I hope you do, because thyme waits for no one

Bravo, sir!
That sounds like an interesting chili, and I'm sure terrific. Best wishes for Thanksgiving.

Better ask Rosemary... She's a bit picky
Thanks, Tony. You too. I hope your innards are doing well
