but man does DDV know how to play off of stars, the way he cuts, he is so active even when he doesnt get the ball and he is not afraid to shoot..

Knicks are running out of time on IQ and Grimes, who play the same position as DDV.

Take a look at the Nuggets contract list at Basketball Reference. They only pay 5 guys more than $5M a year. And that's a very conscious strategy.

How is that a negative comment? lol, i was worried about the rotation and wondering if Thibs was going to end up going 10 players again, happy to see he didnt..

was about the beginning of last year where they were 10 guys and they were basiclaly doing hockey shifts and players werent getting into a flow..

This rotation is anything but clunky..

and if you think Iq, Grimes and DDV cant all play together than i dont know what you are watching

Was minutes not the player and were would they get the minutes to keep everyone happy.

I said a couple weeks ago DDV need to start over Grimes but only because he is a more win now player and Grimes needs to develop confidence with the 2nd unit.
McBride is the best player that doesn't get minutes it's rough.

I do apologize. That was not all my intention. And I was about to post that I don't pretend to know what exactly was in your mind when you made the comment.

Only wanted to make the point that DDV the player has not been criticized, only the state of the roster, and the need for another move.

It's not that they can't play together, but that the cap dictates a strategy of getting bench contributions from players making rookie scale. And Knicks are running out of time to make use of Grimes as a trade asset before he would need to get paid. And they have a need to fill in the front court.

2 lousy teams on the road and they jumped on both early and never trailed in either game. Brunson is the best signing in my lifetime for the Knicks since the late 70's. He calms everything down when we struggle and can get his shot almost Amy time he wants. DD is a better fit as a starter than Grimes. He knows how to play off the other 4 better and is aggressive enough to look for his shot. Grimes has some more length to defend lengthier scorers but team defense is far from a problem with this team. They are just relentless on the glass. It's a team effort from 1-10. Mitch with 11 more offensive rebounds last night. Insane.

I know it is slow and methodical, but i like he is attacking the rim and right now he is making the right read and he is getting guys wide open looks for 3s. It is also allowing Brunson to play more off the ball and he is cashing in..

As for Grimes i wonder if its in his nature to be agressive like we saw from DDV tonight, if the Knicks decided to bring him off the bench to play with Quick and Rj, would he be more agressive shooting the ball??

He has shown in summer league, rookie game, etc. To have the aggression needed I think maybe playing with 2nd unit he turns into the 2nd or 3rd option..
Grimes is averaging 7 shots with the first unit but DDV took 12 shots yesterday. With Randle, Brunson, and RJ taking their normal amount of shots.
Maybe a reset for Grimes is needed.

I think he can but he takes more chances than Grimes, i think straight up 1 on 1 Grimes is better but playing passing lanes and being able to get steals DDV is better..

I don't think the gap defensively is as big as what DDV brings offensively.

Grimes is shooting 40 percent from 3. Problem is he isn't aggressive enough.
