Obvious they see him as a developmental guy and this is primarily a ‘redshirt’ season for him. If he develops, next year he may have a bigger role. Dude was a 7th round pick if I remember, not sure why his being inactive warrants your level of concern.
Of the guys screaming to get the third string NT playing time are the same ones who complained when they drafted a guy in the 7th round that the draft guides didn't list?
Most never thought he'd make the team. If he gets any playing time this year, which I hope he does, it's gravy.
