Wink should keep his job if he can show he can slow down Philly or Dallas. Beating up on the Sam Howell's and Zach Wilson's of the world aint cutting it.

How about Josh Allen, or do we just dismiss that game?
Need to find a reliable edge player opposite him - would make LB a real strength with Okereke and McFadden.
Totally agree. Giants have more talent than people realize up front. We need to solidify the front 7. Gotta get two more DL for the 3-4 and another edge opposite KT. LT had his Banks. KT needs his.
We also need a couple of Leonard Marshalls/Keith Hamilton (Hammer circa his 304 days not his 4-3 ones). Great to see McFadden step up like he has.
Hammer didn't play much in the 3-4; he was a backup in his rookie year '92, a starter in 93 at LDE, then the Giants switched to a 4-3 the next year.
It's very difficult to find 3-4 defensive ends in the 290+ range who can play head-up or outside an offensive tackle who can both play the run and rush the passer. The Giants tried that with Dexter Lawrence and he didn't thrive until he was placed at a DT spot instead of a DE spot.
RE: For all the Kayvon Thibodeaux haters out there,
I just want to point out that Michael Strahan did not achieve double digit sacks until his fifth year playing professional football. This is KT’s second year and he still has six games to go. Keep hating everyone out there. You’re making asses of yourself.

And Winks defense played pretty well against Dallas last year. I’m just not for firing the guy on the defensive side of the ball when the offense hasn’t been able to cross the 50 most drives.
against the Washington OTs. Those are pretty much his best games. This was the 2nd game this year when he was playing well and took a stupid 4th qtr penalty
Bill in Utah.
What would the former Oregon Duck need to do to win you over ?
The Kid has 11.5 sacks this year and is playing nearly every down.
Which is top 10 in the league and has as many tackles and more sacks than all world Micah Parsons.
Also they chipped and doubled him all game.
I'm coming around a bit. I've acknowledged the excellent games that he's had. But in between he's had games where he's invisible. I'd like to see him come up big against the better teams. Maybe by next year I'll be a fan :)
Right now, Thibs can't carry their jockstraps. But I do like his trajectory.
I bought a JPP autographed Helmet during 2011, so I'm a fan, and that single year could have been a DPOY season that few players will touch, but if thibs is consistent, he's easily going to pass JPP as a pass rusher. High hopes but high talent. And he's merely a child still.
+1

Passed on Thibs’ development alone

He’s gonna be a stud

He’s a really good player. I think we can comfortably say that now.
I agree. I just want a little more consistency. He sometimes no shows in games.
Watch the catch - 22 and tell me he doesn’t show up
