The first tiebreak for draft order is strength of schedule (SOS).
Numbers in parentheses are the difference (in games) in SOS relative to NYG. E.g. -4 means NYG has an SOS that is 4 games lower, and a lower SOS at the end of the season means picking earlier. On the other hand, NYG is trending to have a higher SOS than CHI.
1. CAR 1-9 (-1) pick traded to CHI
2. ARI 2-9 (-3.5)
3. NE 2-8 (-2.5)
4. CHI 3-8 (+5)
5. NYG 3-8
6. TEN 3-6 (-5.5)
7. LAR 3-6 (-2.5)
8. WAS 4-7 (see below)
NYG-WAS tiebreak:
=====================
Note that the first draft order tiebreak is the SOS, so it is possible for NYG to draft ahead of WAS if they finish with the same record, even though NYG swept WAS. The tiebreak is determined as follows:
NYG: GB (4-6) + NO (5-5) + LV (5-5) 14-16
WAS: CHI (3-8) + ATL (4-6) + DEN (4-5) 11-19
which means WAS is trending to pick ahead of NYG in case of a tie.
There is already a thread of people freaking out as if the draft order is set.
Doubt we win more than 1 more game this year...basically top 5 pick is almost certain.
MH 2.0 would be a nice concession. Trade back and gain multiple picks to rebuild OL. Lots can and will go our way.
What position will they draft for following 9 sacks?
PAY BARKLEY!!
This^. There's still several games remaining, but it would suck to be picking 5th or later after this season.

NE, Green Bay and LAR all at home. There is a real chance we can win 2 of these. Nothing is certain.

But I want to be drafting top 3.

Well based off how the season is trending the Pats are best chance at another win this season and we may have witnessed the "good fortune ticket" getting punched for the year. We'll end no worse than top 5, I am thinking top 3 really.

If they beat the Pats it won't be a top 5 pick. More likely between 8 and 12 due to the Giants SOS.

I would wager the Giants are favored against the Pats. One more win and it won't be top 5.
I could still see the giants losing out. Washington sucks and could have easily won today with 6 turnovers.

AZ is in no way keeping Kyler Murray out f they can get one of the top two. I guess Belichick is the only hope for anyone who wants to get top 3 and will Kraft he dumb enough to let him drop and not get a QB?

It's a little early to presume that CHI/ARI are moving on from their QB's. If they do, there is a strong possibility of them trading out of those picks. The picks will however still be QB's. So either way, you're looking at QB going at #1 and #2
Never mind

A QB. Maybe Belicjeck takes a huge haul to drop. But as of now Chicago can take Maye or Williams and then Harrison w 4.

Really? You have the # 1 pick in Chi and they are sticking w Fields? And you think AZ thinks Murray is the guy? They deserve to suck if they do. Both Fields ana Murray are not good
Should he do that, Chicago is likely to trade one of their top picks.
In the unlikely event they don't, they could let a QB we all think is going top 3 to slide.
Still a long way to go. I'm not going to worry about it no matter what.
Drafting a lineman guarantees they’re a pro bowler?
When you have to put a clause ina contract that says he needs to study more - you don’t have a QB. They are most definitely looking to upgrade.

I mean, they couldve just thrown the game.

Murray isn’t it. And if they think he’s it, then they’re dumber than dumb can be. He was absolutely pathetic against the Texans.

They did. Murray was simply awful down the stretch. Playcalling was really bad.
I agree, but if they have the chance to get a VG OT(2nd rnd = QB 1st), they should take him. Even if Neal sorts himself out they need a backup/swing tackle or move him to RG - or move Neal.
Of course you can get solid IOL in rounds 3 thru 5.
That figures to be QB, WR, OL, or Edge in this draft, which lines up perfectly.
Is Was done, are the Jets done,
Interesting games remaining

A lot of bad teams play each other. Someone has to win these
I am think along that line too. Not so sure Fields is out in Chicago, yet.
It's a perfect time for them to take the best receiver to come out of the draft in a long time, and a great OT prospect, if you want to give Fields another year or two and keep building.
In fact, I'd argue it's a better solution than blowing it up again and going QB.
I certainly want a shot at one of these QBs, there is plenty of season for it to work out that the Giants can creep up in the draft.

There are still some opportunities to move up.
If they are going to stick with DJ the smart move is to trade out for a haul. We need a top notch WR and better IOL. The D is pretty solid overall and most are signed. This O is desperate for a WR. I would also let Barkley walk in FA. His ability is not converying to wins and I think both sides would be better with a change. He misses games every season except last season and paying top $$ for a RB is not the best use of resources. Get a solid FA and draft a guy to go along with Grey.
We cant go into next season with a bottom 5 OL and bottom 5 WR group. Waller will be a year older and his injury history is growing.
As for coaching, they have not done a great job but its not time for a change either imo. Some guys need time to learn and hopefully they can reflect on the season. Hard to imagine the 7th overall pick is a complete bust but it appears at this stage he is better suited to be a great guard and an average to below average OT. I think the OL coach has to go, there has been no improvement from that unit overall.
As for Schoen, his overall tenure for a year and a half is mixed. His FA signings have been bad except for Okereke. Draft picks have been mixed since one of our top 10 picks is a bust so far and there are other players drafted after him that are stars. Again too early to pull the plug and he was dealt a very por hand so no change is necessary at this time but when your chips are down you have to hit more than you miss and right now I think his misses are bigger than the hits. Glowinski, Slayton, Campbell, Nacho, Robinson and the trade for Waller are not looking so great. Okereke is a stud. The draft has yet to really show a stud but there is promise.
Nice job Mara. Stay out of the front office!
Seahawks next 4 games: 49ers, Cowboys, 49ers, Eagles. They have 6 wins right now. The finish with @Titans, vs. Steelers, and @Cardinals. They could legitimately go 7-10, who knows, they could possibly lose out.

Seahawks pick will be nice. Decent chance that pick is in the 40s if Seattle goes off the rails down the stretch with that schedule.

One effect of that would be to increase the NYG SOS and possibly move their 1st round pick back.
