This should be a good one. &-unlike some who rooted for the Eagles in Super Bowl LII-I'll be rooting for the team going against Philadelphia.
Go Chiefs! My prediction is KC 27, Eagles 17.
(And those of you who rooted for the Eagles in LII...hand in your Giants fandom card.)
Yup. Holy shit.
They needed a WR so bad at the deadline and made no move. They had to get someone.

Yup. Holy shit.
They did blow a double digit lead in the Super Bowl and got the short end of a bad call late in the game too.
I fucking hate them with every bone in my body regardless
Way worse because it's the Eagles

Who exactly was available that would make a difference?
The throws to MVS and Watson were money.
This WR group with a lesser QB would have 3 wins instead of 7.

Ironically - Slayton would probably be their best option. There had to be someone better than the stone handed Justin Watson and MVS.

Slayton has shit hands. He wouldnt make much difference
Meanwhile, Kelce is actually starting to look his age and everyone else right now is a basically a cast of WR3s.

Eagles fan Swift messing with Kelce's head.
You have to actually play to be used in any role.... Just saying
Just watch for five minutes. The talent gap is enormous.
Mahomes did not have a good night. INT in the EZ. Bounced several passes. Yes his WRs and TE dropped a few.
None the less, the Eagles are really good. But I can see the beginnings of cracks in their oline.
Good trade by Schoen imv.
Chiefs WR’s could be the major reason they don’t repeat this year.

that game. The Chiefs lost it. Super Bowl, I'd still take the Chiefs.

I don't make posts to make myself feel better. Pretty much what I saw. Just a bad/poor game by Mahomes of his own doing more than the Eagles stopping him. The Chiefs had plenty of chances and did not cash in. Not like the Eagles did anything special.
Eagles won more on Chiefs shooting themselves.
They missed some plays at the end.
I didn't find the Eagles very impressive but they get the W.

I thought the Eagles OL was poor, especially in the first half. Reminded me of the Giants game in Cleveland in 2008. Starting to see some cracks.
They did have the TE out last night so perhaps that was a big part of the issue.

I definitely think the Eagles have not looked great but they are 9-1 and have such a winning mentality. The tush push helps as it keeps drives alive but they could also be winning and not even reaching their potential yet. It’s depressing and they never really lose their big players even those who are old like Kelce or Johnson. Johnson had a high ankle sprain and was back the next week. It sucks having them as rivals

Sean. Then you have Aikman pointing out Kelce several plays for his efforts. We will see how they hold up as the season plays out.

Looking at the standings, the top teams are really close and aside from the Eagles have a few loses. Not anyone team is standing out, except the Eagles and possibly the Lions.
But the 70s are the worst! Fans today don't know suffering! They're spoiled because of a Super Bowl from 16 seasons ago!!
(Even though we're in a never-ending loop of Philly being good, Dallas as well and never ever beating those two teams, oh and the Giants are terrible again)

Maybe it was the conditions, but both Kelces looked old last night.
J. Kelce is looking a little tired, and not getting into space like he used to on run plays. Still very stout at point of attack. Eagles interior was getting bull rushed a lot early in game, but they did clean it up.

The game played out almost as I would've hoped. I wanted an Eagles loss for NFC seeding, but didn't want the Chiefs to win convincingly either.
Both teams seem both good and beatable. The Eagles finding ways to win all these close games is a big advantage for them. It's probably what they do decisively better than the 49ers right now, just based on what's transpired this season.
On the flip side, their potential appears to be less.
A lot will be learned in a few weeks.
KC's biggest damning stat is least points scored in the 2nd half.............32nd ranked in the league. That's shocking to me.
That just might be unsustainable if this keeps up.
The Chiefs look as mortal as ever on offense, but believe me, as long as #15 is back there, they always have a chance.
They don't deserve it, and there's some bias, but that's the reality of it.
Utterly shocked that MVS dropped that bomb, maybe the Eagles' have better luck than KC, because that just never happens.
He's been dropping passes his whole career.

Just their entire history of weird shit bouncing their way is what we were getting at. The Manningham fumble that spun for hours in 2010, the 87 yard field goal wins, that fucking idiot DB jumping for no reason on the Falcons.
I don't count Dallas out either. I thought they had the Eagles but then they got super fucking stupid at the end of their game where they got a decent chance to win after those penalties.
Why throw short of the goal line with no time left on the clock? I don't fucking get it. Has that ever worked? Hello? Rams/Titans.

I actually think Dallas is the one team Philly probably doesn't want to see. They always play them well. I think they are 8-4 against them in the last 12.
Can't fully trust Buffalo.
Miami has that delicate race car feel to them this year, explosive but fragile.
The Chiefs have that Super Bowl hangover look plus the T Swift madness surrounding them can't help.
Burrow is done.
Playoff Lamar Jackson is unproven.
Even more imperative Philly or Dallas do NOT make the big game.
He's been dropping passes his whole career.
I wasn't shocked about MVS the player, just that a Chiefs play would fail in critical moment.
This was more of a "if that happened to my team, they would've made a circus catch if needed".
But I must admit to not knowing much about MVS except his exotic sounding name and that he played for the Packers.

The late season gauntlet for the Eagles should be tougher this year than last year.
They've won a lot of tight games and are 9-1. That's impressive, but the Vikings won maybe more of those last year.
Granted the Eagles are better than those Vikings, but in some ways it's better to lose some games outright to rattle you.
Football seasons have weird ebbs and flows like that. Now the Eagles have to face the Bills, Niners, Cowboys, Seahawks, pair of Giants games, and Cardinals. They might be favored in every single one of these games, but I can't see them going 16-1 under any circumstance.
Hurts is a good overall QB, but I'm not blown away by his processing speed. This might be a liability in the postseason if he has to face a real defense (and offense) for 60 minutes.
That Tush Push makes them more of a 4 down team than most, but gonna be hard to rely on that in a few months.
