will do this week to try and drop FSU from the playoffs again.
To be fair, FSU didn’t look remotely close to a top 4 team yesterday. Sure they squeaked out a win against a bad Florida team but it certainly wasn’t pretty. They should still be ranked 4 based on being undefeated and I fully expect them to be. But losing their QB has really hurt their chances to win a game in the playoffs. Without Travis, I’m not sure anyone outside of FSU fans have much of an appetite to watch them get curbstomped by Georgia in the playoffs. I was really rooting for them to get in when Travis was playing but, they stood a punchers chance, imo. Not so much now
FWIW, Washington barely beat Wash St and they had their starting QB. Remember Florida's record is identical to Wash St and SEC football is far better tha PAC-12. And Georgia squeaked out a win vs Georgia Tech. Down here UM, UF and FSU playing each other is death sport. (Probably like most rivalry games.) If UF was 2-8 and beat FSU it would be virtually a successful season.
FSU's defense will keep them in any game. UFs 1st TD was a gimmee from the refs calling a PF on a simple tackle play. Norvelle was way to cautious with the QB. I think his 1st half offense decisions have been awful all year. Not sure why he is so conservative to start games.
Georgia isn't really Georgia this year, but very few teams would beat Georgia.
Michigan probably wipes the floor with Washington.
Not sure what Washington has to do with anything. They aren’t getting in. Besides that, I clearly said that FSU likely has the 4 spot for now so I’m not sure what you’re arguing about? It’s my personal opinion that FSU isn’t good enough to beat any of the other 3 teams with their QB. It’s ok to have opinions.
I get it. You live in Florida and want to fiercely defend FSU. And that’s cool. But no sense getting your panties in a bunch before we even see how things shake out. Seems like a tremendous waste of energy to me

If the Committee is being honest, FSU is just not the same team without Travis. So, there is a reasonable case to drop them out because they just aren't one of the four best teams right now.
To me, the four best teams playing right now are Georgia, Michigan, Washington and Oregon.
And I could buy someone saying Ohio State still belongs in that conversation.

Wahington is PAC-12 and that itself is questionable.
You could probably throw in OSU, Texas and Alabama(who got lucky yesterday). Georgia and Michigan are probably the best two teams, period. With Travis, FSU is very dangerous and likely #3. I can semi understand FSU as less attractive and perhaps Louisville gives then a bad time. Let's see if Norvelle lets Rodemaker make some plays next week.
Like the NFL, the NCAA wants lots of offense, so I can see them looking to bypass FSU based on offensive expectations. When you look at it from the commercial POV, I can see it.

I agree with everything you’ve said except I’d replace Washington with Texas or Ohio State. The Huskies haven’t played well since the Oregon game.

A game where the records really don't matter...
BTW, I think the slot receiver for Bama was offsides on that winning TD.
Just chiming in now, and had no dog in the hunt, but that was a great college football game. Unbelievable ending.
But hoping Alabama does not upset Georgia....
