Draftniks: Blake Corum

barens : 11/26/2023 11:55 am
Just wondering what the college football fans think of Blake Corum.

I am a Michigan fan, and I love the kid, but I'm wondering where scouts will put him on draft day. He's one of the best pure rushers , really good with pass protection, one of the best in short yardage, but as a receiver, he seems like a bit of a liability. How much will that hurt his draft stock?
i like that he's a patient runner

Well, Ohio State has a better prospect at RB

TreVeyon Henderson should be RB1 per Dane Brugler

Corum is good. Probably a late 1rst
as a Wisconsin fan

JJ showed himself to be a game manager, but Corum has the goods
It's actually a pretty good RB...

class in terms of quantity and quality.

As usual, I wouldn't touch anyone in the first round, but some should be in play day two and early day three.

As for Corum, he's a good runner with a low center of gravity. No idea what kind of receiver or blocker he is.

The backs I like are Ray Davis, Trey Benson, and Will Shipley. Davis and Benson are punishing runner and I particularly like Shipley's receiving skills.
He is

an old man already, for a RB.
I also loved Mike Hart

but not in the NFL.
I've done most of my work on him

He will have a. Deuce Vaughn / Eric Gray type physical profile. Much more productive and has better vision/feel.

I think he lands in the round 3-4-5 area. He won't do much in the passing game but he is a reliable runner that will block at a good enough level. Smart, hard worker, good intangible grade.

Ton of carries on his ticker with a knee injury. Fun player that fans of Michigan will overvalue, but the league generally pegs a guy like him early day three at best.
Going back a ways here, but he reminds

me of Joe Morris. Doesn't have the height, but gets lost in the fray, has really good vision, strong lower body. Morris also was never a good receiver out of the backfield.
