It shows you how bad Jones is, when Devito is said to look better. Devito is not a starting QB, and if he becomes the Giants starter, we will not win more than 5 games. The only reason we won the last 2 weeks was 2 turnovers by the other teams, in which we had great field position. Without those turnovers the other teams would have won most likely.
Again, I don’t think Devito is some savior. But he threw dimes this afternoon that I haven’t seen from Jones this year. And yes, he has his flaws obviously. That said, he seems more confident and assertive than Jones did when playing.

He’s an undrafted third string QB. He played a clean game, protected the ball, had a few nice throws. Good touch on the deep go routes. Plays tough. Still learning, lots to work on. Kid has some talent, some moxie, and has helped win a couple of games here. He’s no CJ Stroud, but ‘ineffective’ is not correct. Playing himself into a possible backup role. I’m happy for him, happy for the win. The draft will take care of itself, I believe we have good talent evaluators in place.

What is Belichick's record against rookie QB? Especially undrafted rookies.
Interested in what Divito looks like after an offseason and training camp. I think he has at least #2 QB shown now. He should have a good career even if not a #1. He is a great story.

Why it happened doesn’t need to be debated we know the offense crumbled and we know jones crumbled too. We don’t know for certain that jones can’t bounce back. We don’t need to go there yet but we also don’t need to declare who’s better so soon. It’s just pointless and uncessaey.
We all want Devito to do well. Today he never lead the Giants on a drive across the field. Giants had at least a couple of INTs that put the offense in very good position. Giants came away with just one TD and a field goal

adequate only - with a limited ceiling. I have reversed course on DJ (I was a DJ supporter) and do feel we need a better QB to be Super Bowl contenders. Nevertheless, I don't feel the need to tank to get one as drafting one is a crapshoot. Still root for Giant wins...not sure if we get another this season though

If Jones delivered this performance today you’d be roasting him.
That said, I would cut Tyrod and elevate Devito to QB2 next year.
