If Taylor is healthy after bye - what do you do?

They have an opportunity to develop a true homegrown backup with Devito. In a lost season there is no reason to not give him the keys for the rest of the way.

And will not be on the team next year. Play DeVito and Taylor stays at 2 to see the field only in the event of injury or blowout.

Develop the young players. Start DeVito.

letting DeVito play, but I'd like to let Taylor finish out here playing. He is the #2 QB and should be playing with Jones out.

Playing a player that is not as good as his replacement is generally not done. What does that say. We don’t care about the season as much as getting DeVito snaps? We’ll see if he’s ready.

They have been. Hyatt, Robinson, Banks, Hawkins, Flott, McFadden, Davidson, etc.

He's not likely to be on the team next year (cap savings) and they need to develop DeVito into a back-up. What better time to get TD playing time then the final 1/2 of a lost season?

They’re scoring basically just as much with DeVito as they were Taylor. The Giants could have a pretty decent back up for the next 5 years in DeVito. The more reps the better, so he’s ready the next time he’s needed

Would you play Taylor. Because there are 52 other players on the team that the organization owes to play its best. Now I personally would like to see them keep DeVito, because I am hoping to see some growth with his ability to see the field. But people just can't get the concept through their heads.

How about Neal ? Would he develop better with a veteran?


Even on defense would those guys develop better with true competitive game conditions or constantly mopping up

Easy choice. Taylor's history after this season unless DeVito stinks it up, it would be a mistake to sit him now.

At this time there is zero point going back to Taylor. He will not be here next year and so you see if this is a guy you can live with as the backup. He has major flaws, as do all backups, but he can save finding a FA backup or using a draft pick.

Do the Eagles set a sack record against this team in a few weeks with him as QB
