NYG have moved into 3rd place in the NFC East.
NYG cannot be eliminated next week.
Percentages of making playoffs from NYTimes Simulator:
------------------------------------------------------
NYG Lose to:
Nobody 82
only PHI: 36
only NO: 26
only LAR: 26
only GB: 12
Lose twice: less than 2
Probably these teams are looking for 2nd and 3rd wild card spots:
-----------------------------------------
MIN 6-5 plays CHI tonight, will have same or worse conf record than NYG
SEA 6-5 beat NYG
GB 5-6 result vs NYG TBD
(ATL 5-6 is division leader)
NO 5-6
So if you want to see things get more interesting, root for CHI to beat MIN Monday night.
(Cue the "so you're telling me there's a chance" meme)
I’m glad they haven’t quit and seem to have figured out how to get off the mat. Tough times don’t last forever, as they say….
We know this team isn't going anywhere this year but it would be good to see the team play better and to see a few bricks in the foundation for the future get set into place. Hyatt for example. Banks. JMS. Kayvon.
The Giants should have pretty favorable tiebreakers since they went 1-4 vs AFC, so their conference record will be stronger than any NFC team that has two or more wins vs AFC. 8-9 could be enough to get in if SEA falls apart down the stretch and the Giants would be in decent position to make at 8-9 with a favorable conference record.
Even if SEA finishes 8-9, the Giants would just need a third team with an inferior conference record to get in a multi-way tie with NYG and SEA to negate SEA's head-to-head tiebreaker over NYG.

Exactly! We can beat the Packers.
