a freak injury to hurts is the only way to derail them, but hell it's the eagles. Mariota or McKee will come in and have a lights out game like Foles in the SB
They need that championship game in their building. So next week is a virtual must win for SF. Unfortunately, I see them losing.
Even a win next week is probably going to come up short to getting them any home field.
The Eagles are a very good team, but so are the other three big three in the NFC.
They're winning nearly every game by a single score - and if you look at the last three games - they were literally plays there to end the game and beat them.

I'll never forget how badly the refs tried to help out Green Bay during our divisional playoff game in the 2011 season. Two of their touchdowns were basically gifted to them otherwise we would have blown them out.

I think it’s because we hate those teams, they win a lot, and great teams have better luck.
the 18-0 Patriots were a give as SuperBowl Champs. I don't know how many times Dallas, or San Fran or even Chicago were a given as SB champs, but then they weren't. I get that Philly looks like "the annointed" after the win over KC and this win, but as they say at the track "hold all tickets please."
Today’s NFL product, more than ever is geared towards entertainment and revenue. I wouldn’t go so far to say that games are scripted. We are not at WWE level just yet. But, the drive killing calls against Buffalo in the first half of the game today made me turn the tv off. I’m tired of the refs dictating the direction of games.

It may as well be the WWE. People need to stop denying it. Believe your eyes. They ain't lyin'.

I think you're right Eric.
Calls do tend to even out, but I would love to see the Eagles +/- in penalties this season. Feels like they are never called for holding and they got away with a ton of defensive holding/PI yesterday.

Shocking, good teams get the benefit of calls. It happens all the time. Bad teams get calls that would not happen to good teams.
Bellinger and Hodgins got called for holding that were bad calls. Especially Hodgins hold that was bad enough that Vilma called out the refs.

Most games come down to a dozen key plays, a few of which are always bad calls or non-calls. The Eagles, year in and out, seem to get more in their favor. With their unmatched ability to get a yard or two at will and insane success on long FGs it's a lot to overcome.
It's supposed to even out. Waiting for that.......
with Zach Wilson at QB . That should eliminate them from serious contention . Somehow their key players are NEVER injured and they are allowed to cheat in all short yardage situations with a scrum play that should be illegal. Karma says they are due for some bad luck. Sure hope it happens soon .
They hit a rough patch a month or so ago, losing 3 straight when Deebo was out, but their wins have been much more dominant than Philly’s. I think, if healthy, they’re the team to beat.
This team is arguably worse than last year's team and way too cocky. They've gotten away with some extremely close games. They are flying INSANELY close to the sun.
I still think they make the NFC Championship game, but do not be surprised if San Fran or Dallas handles them early.

Winning all the close games by having everything go their way.
I just did the playoff machine on ESPN and SF was the #1 seed with #7 GB at #2 Philadelphia, #6 Minnesota at #3 Detroit, and #5 Dallas at #4 Atlanta.
I think the same scenario occurs from last year where it's SF having to play Dallas and Philadelphia. And if Dallas wins they would have to play both SF and Philadelphia. Philadelphia gets lucky again that they don't have to play both Dallas and SF.
Philadelphia will have easiest path. Dallas will have hardest.

I’d add Baltimore to that list. The officiating in last night’s game was among the worst I’ve ever seen. They missed blatant calls.
Eagles have won some close games vs KC and Dallas (and Buf)
Law of averages says that should catch-up to them eventually. That being said, for whatever reason, despite the big record they have not been as impressive as last year. I could see them having a 2007 Cowboys/2008 Giants/2011 Packers type fall early in the playoffs.
They need that championship game in their building. So next week is a virtual must win for SF. Unfortunately, I see them losing.
The Niners have wrecked Pitt, Dallas, Jax, Sea - all playoff teams
They are light years different than the playoff game last year. McCaffrey is on a different level and Aiyuk has become a legit no 1
I think they beat Philly
Sad thing is the Giants are light years from being as good as those 3 teams
Believe that the cowboys have 5 playoff wins in 27 years. They will most likely choke.49ers have the best shot.

2 weeks of Taylor Swift and Cowboys fans and Jerry Jones and the national media talking about all those things. And in Las Vegas of all places.
They'd make a fortune and they will move mountains to make it happen.

Eagles are the top team But they are getting by with no mistakes and some fortunate plays. So they are beatable on any given sunday!
