MHJ seems to be a lock for WR1 in the draft. I don't see a big drop off between him and the next crop. This draft seems to have incredible talent at WR. I love Odunze, Naber and Coleman, but curious who the pundits see as #2.
Nabers is on the shorter end compared to Coleman, Odunze and his teammate Brian Thomas Jr., but boy is he explosive and what body control! He's also lethal with the ball in his hands. Just a YAC beast. He doesn't have the most reliable hands, but if you can overlook the occasional drop, he's a special talent. He's going to get the Biletnikoff, methinks.
Coleman, Odunze and Thomas are H/W/S freaks. They're bigger and stronger than Nabers and who can 50-50 balls into 70-30 balls.
MHJ and the rest, and that's not to take anything away from anyone else. I just think Harrison Jr is a force, and there won't be a corner who will be able to lock him down.
is in the running for me. He and Nabors are dynamite.
I am very fond of Ja'Lynn Polk and JM Sturdivant. Sturdivant is very interesting as a prospect who is basically playing with an incompetent group of QBs at UCLA. He is big, fast and explosive.

Odunze and Sturdivant are two I've mentioned the past two seasons

Agree 100%.
I think he’s the most can’t miss prospect in this draft, and the other WR’s a tier below him.
He’d be WR1 most other years. He’s good at everything - before the catch, at the catch, and after the catch. Explosive, athletic and strong. And only 20 years old - he’s been incredibly productive from the onset.
I like Odunze as WR3, Coleman as WR4. Some people are waaay too high on Coleman. Great traits, but iffy production and often disappears. I might even like Troy Franklin, AD Mitchell and Brian Thomas over him.
Egbuka/Worthy/Roman Wilson are also good prospects.
Matt Waldman does a lot of analysis for Footballguys.com as well as a lot of content related to the draft. Won't paste everything he's written on this topic but right now he actually has Nabers over MHJ fwiw.
Few snipits:
"Nabers some of the best skills in this class against press coverage. He not only has a large repertoire of moves, but he also executes them with a balance of patience and suddenness that forces defenders off-balance or in the wrong direction."
"In contrast to what I've seen from Harrison, Nabers is more precise with his breaks and executes a greater variety of break types at a high level of accuracy and form. Nabers has no significant lapses as a pass catcher and wins difficult targets against tight coverage and hard contact."
Very early in the draft coverage process and so a lot will change from here thru Pro Days / Combine but this seems to be a very good WR draft.
but holy sh#t, this guy is so good. He's a gap-closer for the Giants. Not just a #1 - an elite #1.
I know the prevailing wisdom is accumulate picks to rebuild, but the Eagles & Cowboys are loaded with great football players. You've got to have front-line talent to beat them, too.
This team - especially offensively - is lacking star power. MHJ is worth trading up for, even in this loaded class IMO. If they could somehow land him and Nix or another mid-1st round QB, it would be amazing.

Disagree. I think when you see him have a game where the numbers aren't there, it's because of other factors. In the Florida game, you had Tate Rodemaker making his first start and he wasn't ready for primetime, pretty inaccurate.
In others, FSU is either taking what the defense is giving, and Coleman got a lot of attention, or they were running the ball a lot. Jordan Travis did spread the ball around. Like in the Duke game, 9 receivers caught passes from Travis' 27 attempts. And they have other really talented receivers like Johnny Wilson and Jaheim Bell. BTW, not sure if Bell will come out in this draft but if he does, he would be a terrific pick in the 4th or 5th round. He may go higher, but if he stays in school he has a chance to go in the first round in the 2025 draft.
I've said this a couple of times, but Coleman reminds me of Terrell Owens.
I haven't studied all of them enough to make an assertion, but I love Nabers, his teammate Thomas, and Coleman. I haven't watched many of the other guys much yet but I know Sy has Rome Odunze as the #6 overall player in the draft and #2 behind MHJ. He has Coleman as #8 and Nabers as #11 overall.
Sy's top 96 (never a bad time to repost this link):

Spot on. I lean toward Coleman as the number two but it’s basically a 2A/b/c with him Nabers and Odunze.
If the Giants can get a QB round one there’s going to be some good WR talent in round two (Thomas, Worthy). The rate that receivers are getting produced in college is astonishing
have been sorely missing a big physical WR really since Nicks. Nabers fits the mold of a guy who might not be the tallest but plays like AJ Brown, but quicker even. I personally would have it Naber, Odunze, Coleman.
Even if the team ends up with 5-6 wins and we pick in the back part of the top 10, we'll have a crack at a really good prospect that will fill a bigtime area of need.
Would love to get a crack at a franchise QB, and I do think the top prospects are all worth consideration, but IMO there's no Burrow or Lawrence type at the top of the draft. If the Giants add a stud WR in round 1, and fortify the lines with a plug and play OG and Edge in round 2, we should be very happy.
Can always add a developmental QB later in the draft. Trading up for a QB and missing would set us back another 5 years.

OBJ would be fine with me.
There is a lot to like at wr in this draft. Even Polk who it first glance I though was speedy slot type, he is listed at 6’3.

Is a mean motor-scooter and a bad go-getter.
So is Rome Odunze.
I'll take either one. Gladly.
Xavier Legette. Fan of him as well. He struggled against Tennessee, but he's been awesome all year with Rattler.
Agree 100%.

They all are WR1 in past two drafts. This is a serious WR draft.

I can't believe I forgot about Franklin. Very good call. He's been very impressive for Oregon.
Coleman and Franklin are probably in the next rung.
Coleman and Franklin are probably in the next rung.
Thomas Jr is great. He's going very high. GMs see the size, speed, catch radius.
Sorry Nabers

I like him. I think he’s a solid No. 2 receiver at the NFL level.
Great size, high points the ball and very good hands.
WR to Giants - ( New Window )
