The year the Giants drafted Azeez a lot of other teams, passed on him, supposedly because of medicals. In hindsight ojulari has missed a lot of game time, and while talented has not had an impact during his time on the Giants.
I don’t think the Giants can risk an early round one pick on Latu even though he is a fantastic player. I could see them taking him on day 2 where the risk reward pays off, but I think a less needy team will gladly take the risk in rd 1.
Not sure where the Solomon Thomas comparison came from, but it's not a good one IMO. Latu had better numbers this past year than Thomas had in his college career.
Latu has 85 tackles, 34 TFL and 23.5 sacks, 5 FFs, 2 INTs and 4 pass deflections in 25 games with UCLA.
Thomas had 98 tackles, 24.5 TFL, 12 sacks, 1 FF, 0 INTs and 0 pass deflections in 26 college games.

Agree, Latu is a beast. Better version of Jaelan Phillips who also had an injury risk and was drafted in the 1st round by the Dolphins and played well until his recent injury.
Only thing is I don't think the Giants will take the injury risk since they had their own share of injury problems.
I would prefer Dallas Turner since he is young and relatively injury safe compared to Latu.
If Latu didn't have previous injury issue, I would def consider him with our 1st rd pick.
I m not excited about drafting anyone with a history of injury. Giants have seemed like the most fragile of teams for a while now, that s got to change

Seems like Solomon Thomas all over again

Huh? What does Daniel Jones have to do with the Giants draft?
