The Final 4 has not lived up to the billing for a variety of reasons. Two that stick out in my mind are the dates they play the games (currently the finals are a week after New Years and viewers lose interest; so, move the semis to Dec 24th and the finals back to New Years) and the competitiveness of the games have been God awful.
This is why the playoffs have been expanded to twelve games with the intentions to have more relevant bowls and, hopefully, have more competitive games.
Let's be honest. Outside of the F4 games, the bowls are exhibition games that have completely lost their fanfare. The ratings are poor across the board and attendance is also piss poor.
But I'm all for an expanded playoff. Just wish they had settled on just eight.
You are correct. This is a TV show when you strip it down to it's core. And getting the best ratings are a driver.

Why? Georgia lost and Alabama was ranked 8th coming in today. FSU was 4th and beat the #14 team. In a regular week, neither would be ranked ahead of FSU would they.
As I have been saying, Brock Glenn will not be QB a month from now and Rodemaker will be and have a month to practice.
I do absolutely believe that FSU is going to get screwed because they lost their #1 and #2 QBs on back to back weeks. I do think they will move Alabama to #4 and put FSU at #5 or #6.

Because he would have had another week to practice and Norvell probably doesn't call such a conservative game. Basically Norvell did nothing offensively in the 1st half of that game.

I could’ve seen that too before today but Texas was really impressive. If they skated by in a nail biter I’d feel differently but they put on a show for the Nation and committee today.

I don't think FSU would get blown out. But I don't think they are a real threat on offense anymore, especially against one on of these F4 teams...

Right now if they had Travis, I think they could beat anybody. Nobody looks THAT good. Georgia's offense was terrible today. I truly is a damn shame.
