Hard to tell from the picture, but the full width of each is about 4-5 inches. I'm in the Hudson Valley. Is this character jumping around on one foot?
I can identify my neighborhood cat, fox, and coyote in the yard by size. This Sasquatch has me stumped.
Yeah something is crooked on the left.
Not even remotely close to a turkey.
Looks like they were made by a bounding/hopping critter. The front depressions are the rear feet, which basically all patterns look like. The front feet follow behind, but can be of multiple patterns, usually side-by-side, or one well behind the other. It looks like you have one front foot that is going directly into a rear foot pattern.
DEC seems to have been going way out of their way to not allow for even the possibility of mountain lions being in the northeast, but it seems more than possible to me.
According to doctor internet, this is a cotton tail.

DEC does not want to admit there are mountain lions because then they have to protect them. i know they are there. i have seen them with my own eyes. DEC tried to tell me that I saw a bobcat, but bobcats don't have long tails.
