I don't know that Wilson sucks. I do know his team sucks. The Jets are where quarterbacks go to die. They haven't had a successful QB there since Namath. Some of the QB's were good before they came to the Jets, some of their QB's found success after they left, and in the case of Farve, both.

If Wilson doesn't suck, he's sure been going out of his way to give that impression.

assuming Rodgers is healthy. IF he isn't all bets are off. But, I thought last year their expectations were unrealistically high just because of Rodgers. I feel the same now. I think he is a great QB and should factor into a better season for them. I just don't see them as a strong SB contender just because of him, at this stage of his career, with the team around him. He makes them a playoff team, but not a champion, in my opinion.

Personally, I would rather have an owner that says the former than the latter.

Testaverde had the good sense to get hurt before the Jets could find out why he sucked.

I’m sure that sounds good to you but I can assure you that the former is much, much worse. Publicly trashing your players almost never goes well. Publicly supporting your players almost never hurts anything.

is not a professional football player. He's not committed to his craft or the mental toughness required to play position.
