The majority of mocks have the giants taking Odunze or Nabers.
We will see. I would not be shocked if they trade down and take a corner or front seven. I think it is not impossible that in workouts or the combine JJ McCarthy could climb up the board but those two receivers seem most likely.
mock drafts and the giants - (

lol. Yeah, upgrading the QB position is such a waste. A completely unimportant position. They may as well just draft a punter if they are wasting premium picks on non premium positions
What if the Pats decide to sign Kurt Cousins what does that do to your mock draft???

Well IF my aunt had balls...
Why all these mocks are done for the entertainment of those making them, and the folks that put any credence into them.
I'll wait till the draft.

Yeah, I'm glad the league implemented the rule where there has to be a player available at every pick that perfectly aligns with that team's needs. Otherwise, a team might be sitting at pick 6, in a draft with 3 bonafide QB prospects.
Selecting a player at 6 doesn't mean they are worth the selection or will automatically improve the position. Hell, Jones was selected 6th overall. Would we rather have Jones or Brian Burns, DK Metcalf, Maxx Crosby, AJ Brown, Jeffery Simmons, or Elgton Jenkins? Over-drafting is what keeps us a laughingstock.

The guy literally said taking a QB is a waste. And I’m the one you’re lecturing? It’s the most important position in all of sports. That doesn’t mean just taking ANY QB. But if there’s a guy there that the Giants love they should absolutely consider the position. And just stop with the assumption that the QB may bust but any other other player at a different position is guaranteed to not bust. I can play the bust game with you all day at every single position. I love how you pick Jones in your scenario and then compare it to guys that turned out great at other positions. You can’t possible that simple, can you?
I guess I'll turn it around; what QB is the obvious choice at 6, negating the top 3? Who would absolutely improve the position?

You (or I) have absolutely no idea what the NFL thinks of any of these players. Hell, they haven’t even really begun the evaluation process yet. What you think of where any of players go at the beginning of February by reading your little mock drafts has no correlation to where they may go at the end of April. It’s not my job to identify which players are worthy of the 6th pick. That’s up to the Giants to figure out by April. Now suddenly we are seeing rumors that Maye is dropping, McCarthy is rising, etc., etc. And again, we’ve seen just as many so called blue chip players at every other position bust in spectacular fashion over the years. This isn’t exclusive to QBs, regardless of your ignorance to the matter.
So yeah, posting a blanket statement saying that drafting a QB is a waste is absolutely simple minded. Congratulations
Ah, yes. 2 1/2 months before the draft, pre combine, interviews, pro days, private workouts, etc, I’m sure they’re all just about wrapped up with evaluations on hundreds and hundreds of players….
Maybe they’ll move up the draft to next weekend since everyone should be all set after reading the Yahoo and NJ.com mock drafts that have you feeling ready to rock and roll

Don't sleep on JJ McCarthy, he is going top 12 imo and I'd be happy with him at 6 if top 3 go 1-2-3.

Drafting a qb to play behind a less than average oline with wr's who rarely get separation, and a defense that gets gashed by runs up the middle makes even less sense. Drafting a qb with the 6th pick would set this team back 5 years!
That's ridiculous. Committing to Daniel Jones for another season will set this team back years. Next years draft class is weak at QB meaning we will have to wait until 2026 at the earliest to get a real QB. Eli Manning stepped into a terrible situation along the OL and WR and he worked out.
What if the Pats decide to sign Kurt Cousins what does that do to your mock draft???
Think more likely Schoen uses free agency dollars to add to the interior OL and maybe a swing Tackle as he has to be a little gun-shy about how his OL draft picks have fared thus far. RB will be added as well.
If they pass on QB in round one then that #6 spot is lining up perfectly to go WR in this draft. Expect that to happen.

If the Patriots sign Cousins and pass on drafting a QB at 3 it speaks volumes of what they think of the QBs in the draft. They will probably trade down then and some other sucker team will give up valuable draft picks for a question mark. Honestly I think you can draft a QB later on in Round 2 or 3 which is less risky and more rewarding.

It's riduculous to assume next year's class will be weak. Let's stop pretending we know that.
And if Jones is as bad as we project and Giants do nothing, isn't it more logcial to assume that the Giants will be high up in the draft?
And San Fran has shown you for many years - you can build without an eleite QB. ANd the Giants are in rebuild. They have time.

Not saying I want them to but…if they sign a Tee Higgins or Evans, Pittman, etc. how does that change your mock???

Why are you separating draft vs FA? How many "good" OL have they gotten through FA?
