Antonio Pierce and #Raiders pursued #Giants special assistant to the GM
Jessie Armstead for a similar role, but he is staying put, per sources. LVR thought he was coming to point where he had a presence at team facility, but Armstead will instead remain under contract in NY. Pierce and Armstead are both #NYGiants LB greats
Anyway, in this case I’m reminded of the conversation Saban and BB had in the “Art of Coaching” documentary in which they both expressed displeasure when guys leave their program to become coaches elsewhere. Their thought is that everyone is free to pursue any opportunity they want, just don’t come looking to take my guys.
I still believe if his pick 6 stands the Ravens SB has a very different flow. Dilfer that season did not recover well from early blunders. He played above himself that game once we let them get rolling.
Also does special assistant come with any perks beyond what the regular assistant probably gets?
They were partners in a Honda dealership in Hamilton, NJ as well. Sold it in 2019.
