EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. – The Giants today continued to mold their 2024 coaching staff as they announced the addition of one coach and new titles/assignments for two incumbents.

Frank Piraino is the team’s director of strength and conditioning. Piraino, 44, spent the previous five seasons with the Tennessee Titans, the first three as their strength and conditioning coach and the 2022-23 seasons as the director of sports performance.

Prior to entering the NFL, Piraino coached at the collegiate level for 18 years.

He was a graduate assistant at Michigan State in 2004 and worked at Notre Dame and the University of Florida before becoming the head strength and conditioning coach at Marshall in 2010. Piraino held the same title at Temple (2011-12) and Boston College (2013-18).

A native of Cleveland, Ohio, Piraino earned his bachelor’s degree at the University of Akron and later earned a master’s degree from Michigan State.

He and his wife, Evan, have one son, Milo, and one daughter, Micah.

Piraino is the fourth former Titans coach to move to the Giants this offseason. The others are defensive coordinator Shane Bowen, tight ends coach Tim Kelly, and defensive assistant Zak Kuhr.

Mike Adams has been named the Giants’ assistant secondary coach after spending his first season with the team in 2023 as the assistant special teams coach. Adams will work with defensive backs coach/passing game coordinator Jerome Henderson and safeties coach Mike Treier.

Drew Wilson’s new title is assistant director of strength and conditioning. From 2021-23, he was the assistant strength and conditioning coach.
they gave adams a promotion to avoid him being scopped up

He still could be scooped up, but he probably expressed a desire to work with DB's rather than ST so the team moved him. Assistant DB Coach will give him more job opportunities than Assistant ST Coach.

I just noticed another strength and conditioning coach listed on the Giants website: Steven Tatekawa.

According to his Facebook page, he was hired last May.

The Giants have SIX strength coaches right now.
You can't say they're not trying to fix the injury situation!
