...There's a prohibition on politically-related posts here, and that's a very good thing. Could I humbly propose if not a ban, then a moratorium, on Daniel Jones posts unless they are conveying actual news?
them entertaining … look past the idiocy and discover the humor. The light side, the bright side, the side that says none of this really matters a single iota in th3 great scheme of life. Be well, be safe, be happy!

I get the OP’s sentiment. The Jones threads-which I actively participate in-are mostly repetitive and the same characters opining the same thoughts just on a different calendar days.
But it’s the biggest ? facing this franchise so it can’t be ignored.
Let's tell it how it is... You want to see thoughts you don't like, so you want them censored. Go jerk off to a Google image search of Daniel Jones and stop trying to legislate out discussion of the piece of shit eating up a huge portion of our salary cap.
He’s participated in only two other threads, besides this one. The orange soda thread and the Valentine’s Day thread. It seems his motive here is to eliminate the clutter of football talk so he can easily find the more important topics

Eric... People are posting about topics that I don't want to discuss and I don't have the ability to ignore them. So I want you to make everyone else stop!
Not a chance in hell that Eric/BBI wants to:
1.) Start policing the board to remove DJ posts
2.) Start banning people who mention DJ in their posts
3.) Reduce traffic on the website.

I'm not going to tell posters on a New York Giants website that they can't talk about the most important player on the team.
I don’t mind people commenting about Jones, but people starting new threads to give their thoughts rather than sticking to existing threads makes other things get buried. Also, if the thread is not about Daniel Jones don’t go all Kevin Bacon to justify posting about Daniel Jones.
If I were in fact going to make this a policy, just how do you think the moderators should enforce it?
Perhaps, it would be easier for the reader to simply demonstrate some self discipline and not read what he doesn't want to read?
How can readers practice self discipline when sorting by recent threads or by most recent comment buries items? What I would do is threads that really should be comments on other threads are subject to deletion. You won’t get specific comments, but if a select group of posters are twisting everything into Daniel Jones and it is causing problems on threads if I was a mod I would privately warn the offending people.
I appreciate the feedback and don't want to sound overly dismissive, but we're not going to do that. It would be a labor-intensive nightmare and subject to numerous "censorship" complaints.
I don't ready 75 percent of the Daniel Jones stuff. I just skip it.

Well put.
The DJ posts are broken down as follows:
1 He sucks get rid of him this year at any cost.
2 Give him another year with better players around him.
3 Get competition for him in 2024 through Day2 draft or FA.
Shades of the above. I myself am in 2.5.
Things we agree on.
It would be best if he were good enough to be the guy and we did not have to spend additional resources on QB.
He has not proven that he is that guy.

+1.
On my end I admit that the constant discord (often negative) about Jones detracts from my enjoyment of this forum. And on some level, with the vitriol directed towards Jones, that one of our number hasn't killed him.
But he grew tired of butthurt snowflakes bitching and moaning when they saw something “offensive”. I might get banned for this, but I rarely post anymore anyway and maybe Eric will send me an email. But old-school BBIers will agree… It's like the NBA in the 80s and 90’s compared to today… BBI was not for the faint of heart… and it was glorious!
But for those that are saying "ignore them" the same people bring up the exact same point on every thread even if it isn't about Jones.
Maybe a pinned Daniel Jones topic or 4?
You've brought up the same exact point before. Ironic, eh?
Look, even if Eric and the mods had the slightest desire to stop people from making what you call, "the exact same point on every thread" how do you propose they police that?
Are they supposed to keep track of what every poster posts and start deleting posts, issuing warnings and banning people for being redundant?
And why would Eric want to reduce traffic to his website?
Maybe you should follow your own advice and not make the exact same recommendation again.
How about you don’t read them? Easy solution
But it’s the biggest ? facing this franchise so it can’t be ignored.
My thought exactly
I am in the camp that we need to get "The Man" at QB. They both want us to not draft a QB and build the rest of the team first.
We end every texting event with....Let's see what happens in FA and the draft! LOL.
It means we argue, argue, argue and then sit there no closer to an answer. Just like the DJ threads!
"Is Danny Dimes better than Danny Wuerffeul?"
"I think Dan Jones stole my Amazon package"

If we draft JJ McCarthy, I believe he will quickly chip away at that... ;)

Not going to happen!
