Thibodeau said Randle and Anunoby were on track - Anunoby doing cardio and left-handed basketball work. Sounds like neither will be back this week. But DDV, Bogey and Hartenstein all should be ready for Philadelphia Thursday

and he basically admitted to trolling the Knicks brand, but said that the team wasn't ready or fun when he was considering going there.
Honestly, idc anymore, but we should start giving Julius Randle and Brunson that treatment. They chose to sign here, and I'm sure a lot of other factors went into those decisions, but they chose NY and then evolved their games to be all-NBA players. No need to do what ifs with Durant.

It says a lot about him that he didn’t see himself as someone capable of turning things around.
I’ve always appreciated guys like Stoudemire, and Randle who didn’t shy away from that challenge but instead embraced it. And now Brunson has taken the team to another level entirely. He had guts and confidence, Durrant just wanted a joy ride to a ring
finally gave up on chasing after saviors and went about the business of building something step by step. It's been so rewarding, and I hope they don't have to completely sell their souls like Brooklyn did to try to get to the top.

The irony is that's what the Nets were lauded for pre big 3 era and what the media cited as a reason why they chose the Nets over the Knicks. Just a few years later and the Nets are the ones doing what that the Knicks were for 20 years.
Popper just tweeted that Randle says surgery for him has not been ruled out, but he is doing everything possible to get back on he court as soon as possible.

Sounds like they won’t really know until he’s back practicing with the team, full physicality, seeing what it feels like to have his arm hit, battling for rebounds etc

They are going to have to harness it...The mental side is going to be the biggest thing, is he going to be hesitant to lower that shoulder

They God it was the non shooting shoulder. It might just be a pain threshold thing for him.
Prediction based on what has been said past couple of days
Coolio. Given the health status of this team, it's not unheard of for these guys to see significant minutes. Hell, Toppin already has seen way more minutes than he deserves.

And seriously, Taj is cooked.
I think it shows they trust that OG and Randle will be back sooner than later..
Also with Hartenstein, Bojan and DDV back the team is a much healthier 9 man rotation
At least these two have been with the Knicks since training camp and know what's up. Whoever was gonna get signed was only gonna play if we were up 20 with 3 minutes left or down 20 with three minutes left.

Dude, at this point, I would even take Marcus Morris back. Ha
But nah, I'd love to take a roll of the dice on Killian Hayes.

I'm still pissed that I spent $500+ to go see Doncic play against a bunch of scrubs.

Killian Hayes stinks. Daquan Jefferies is better lol.
No vet would sign up to just sit on the end of the bench. These moves serve two masters. First the CBA requires a minimum number of players signed to a regular contracts. They had to meet the minimum by today. Second they are trying to steer clear of the second apron so these deals cost very little. They don't want to start the clock with the tax
Fort Lauderdale was already booked with a girl scouts' parade?

Wrong thread.... Ft Lauderdale has is open thread
Maybe because he’s born and raised in NYC and does a lot of charity work in the city

Better not be Taj.

will it be just some random G leaguers or do they go with a couple of vets and if they do what position do they play?
Better not be Taj.
I dont think it is, it woukd of been done already IMO
Something like this is always what I expected. It was never gonna be some guy off the street, with where this team is trying to go.
