Yes they do. The hour is getting late if they are going to go on a run. Hopefully Vanecek doesn't return any time soon because Daws should be the starter for the remainder of the season. Ruff will continue to play Vanecek if he's healthy.
Holtz has 3:12 of ice time through 2 periods. It's almost if Ruff is intentionally giving him the fewest amount of time on the ice to justify not giving him more ice time. If he was scoring more he would get more time meanwhile he is playing on the fourth line while Bastian continues to play above him and has a whopping 4 goals.
RE: Did they really have to show a montage of the miracles
At the meadowlands? Eff you, ESPN. How about we show a montage of McNabb getting sacked like 12 times😂
Absolutely horrific job by ABC. Pissed me off. So you wanna talk about the history of hockey in NJ and all you mention is the Messier parlor trick and don't even mention 3 cups??!? As for the game the Devs have really capitalized on their chances so far as the Flyers have outplayed them for wide swaths of the game. So far I'll take it. Daws has been real good.
Daws was huge in the second. Ruff should be canned if he even thinks about going away from Daws outside of a standard rest day.
While I'd rather see other guys get ice time, I think I'm starting to understand why Smith and Bastian play, outside of them the devils really have no physical presence, you can see it against a team like the flyers.

I've always been a Smith critic, but I agree he serves a needed purpose. I noticed it against the Kings too the other night. They tried to take some liberties with Luke and Smith was having none of it. He leveled the guy right away. This summer the Devils have to search for a physical agitator type fwd that has the skill to score sometimes too or maybe find one at the deadline if they're available.
Flyers are a heavy Torts style team and did carry play for much of the game. It was fast and hard hitting both ways.
Agree the ABC commentary and pbp--gee, was there any?--were poor. But one fun note made, in response to BH28 was that the cold temps actually increase the amount of 'snow' created by blades-on-ice friction and scraping because it's not going to melt.
Also, some of the camera angles over the near boards and near right circle were excellent, top down views, must have been using the NFL cam-on-a-wire.
I like Emily Kaplan though they should go to her more. Sean McDonough? Seriously? What is the guy like 80? He was boring and half asleep back in the 90's. We need Doc back.
Maybe he doesn't get us to the playoffs, but I just don't see the point of giving up assets and money commitment to the guys out on the market like Markstrom at this point. Maybe Souros if he were actually available because he's more of a long term type solution but who knows with Nashville they can't decide whether to sell or not.

Ditto. The better Daws plays may actually help with some leverage with Calgary; but they shouldn't overpay at this point.
Yea these are the best ones so far IMO. Last seasons, which looked like the former Blues jerseys, were awful.
