“Snell has an offer on the table from the Yankees, a source told MLB.com's Mark Feinsand… The news comes one day after USA Today’s Bob Nightengale reported that the Bronx Bombers still have “serious interest” in Snell…”
Snell is the most likely to take a shorter deal based on age but at the same time, I am sure that other teams will also bid for him under those circumstances. It would be nice if it is a short-term contract in the $35M range but...
Also, I think the Boras client list is waiting for a big spending team to become desperate because they suffered a spring training injury to a star player or key contributor. Having said that, there's no way that all five of them are going to get that lucky so someone will have to take a shorter deal or risk losing a year.
Michael Kay says the Yankees aren't interested....
So I'm sure the offer is probably the original one. Convo is probably like, "good luck with that offer, come back to us if you change your mind."

Thought it was rumored that they offered 1 year $35 mill - higher one year deal than multi-year AAV.
